She sat by the entrance of the castle, right on the inside. She managed to bypass it. It was a long three days but it nothing mattered not her injuries, how long she fought, or even how exhuasted she was. Only that Dalon was there. She stared at him, as he seemed to appear out of nowhere, when that was not the case. She just looked at him, finding the only thing she could say was his name. A name that she hadnt spoken in so long to his own face. "Dalon?"

He nodded and looked around. It had been along time. His shirt was cut off at his shoulders and there was a tattoo running along his right arm. His hair was short, and his eyes looked tired, his whole body was cut, he'd been fighting since he could remember, making money for that hag, doing whatever it was she told him to do, having no choice but to listen. First rule, never talk to anyone but her. Sighing, he started walking away. He knew his mother was there, but this had been a shock to him, he never thought he'd see them again.

She took a long glance at the tattoo and then at him. She was not very pleased with what her father had told her. What her son was forced to do because of Ather's despicable mother. She followed him, coming up beside him. "She'll pay. Your father nor I will let this injustice pass." She wondered why he was so silent. Was it that he was still surprise to have seen her out of nowhere, or was there more. She wasnt sure, and the last thing she wanted was to anger him right now. Thanks to her father she knew a bit of his life, even if it was miniscule, but it was something.

He nodded and just continued to walk, exploring it seemed. Looking back at her, he walked to her, inspecting her rather. Was this his mother? She looked like he remembered, but was this a trick of Sevron's and that hag's. He couldn't be sure.

She wondered why he wouldnt speak a word and when he started to inspect her, she couldnt hold back any longer. She grabbed his arm and pulled him towards her, hugging him tightly. She had longed for this and now she had done it. "I remember when you were a child, and I would tell you the stories of Jeran the Knight. You were so small, and you would always bounce on my lap as you tried to coax me to tell another story right before bed." She pulled away, sadness filling her heart, at how she could have forgotten her most precious memories of her son.

He nodded, and started to speak. His voice was low and hoarse. He hadn't had to use it for a long time."I....remember..." He smiled weakly and then made a signal with his hand to his mouth that he was thirsty.

She smiled, and pulled out her cantene. She put it in his hand, looking at his face. "If you wish for more, we can go to a creek that is very close from here." She stopped, so he could drink it fully, but she was still curious to know why he sounded the way he did, and why he found the need to point instead of using his mouth, and then it dawned on her, it was something to do with that evil bitch, and she just sighed.

He nodded, telling her he would soon want more and drank from her cantene quite happily. He would talk to her when he was fully ready, and completely sure that she was his real mother. Drinking some more, he handed the cantene back to her.

She watched him silently, and started towards the creek now, speaking to herself. "Where are you, Ather.." She turned to him, smiling. "I must say, I never imagined any as handsome as your father, but you certainly surpass him in looks." She kicked part of a brush, to give them access to the creek when she heard a very familiar call. She looked up, smiling. "It must be my lucky day." She extended her arm and there Hermes flew towards her, perching himself on her arm.

He recognized the bird and extended his hand towards the bird, taking it on to his finger, stroking it's feathers."Mom..." He looked at her and then back to the bird.

She watched him pet Hermes, and smiled, remebering the first time she had taken him on his arm. A tear streamed down her cheek, and she moved closer. "Yes, Dalon?" She looked at him lovingly. "I see Hermes hasnt forgotten you. But he never would." She stroked the birds head, laughing slightly. "It would also explain why he trusted Ather during our "first" meeting." She made sure to emphasis the word 'first'.

He nodded, understanding. Letting Hermes fly wherever he would go, he just laid back on the grass and stared at his mother."Home...?"

She sat down beside him. "I do not have a home, to be honest." She frowned, "After those events occured I wandered, unknowing of the life I had. I took on my full duties as a Slayer, and never settled down. " She turned to him. "But your father has one, and you'll have your home again, you have my word, as a Slayer but more importantly as your mother."

He nodded and smiled, touching his mother's hand and then pulling away gently, not scared or anything really. Yawning silently, he closed his eyes, and then opened them again.

She smiled widely, when he touched her hand. When he nodded in and out of sleep she chuckled silently and stood, tapping his leg. "Come, until we go to your fathers tomorrow, we'll go to the Inn. I'll even convince the propietor to allow me to cook. So you can have something hot to eat."
