Everything around her almost seemed distant, the only thing she was sure of now was the fact that she was writhing in pain. And this green light was merging with everything that dealt with her. She watched as Nailana's whip came towards her but it was of no use. Tears started to slide from her eyes. She would not scream, she would not let herself scream. Now, she could imagine what Mae had went through when this thing entered her and merged with Rionos. But as painful as the situation was, there was a dim light. Maybe now she could get a clue into what may have caused Rionos' change. She knew this was just one possibility, but it was better than none. She closed her eyes. Something wrapped around her, tightening along her arms and legs. But the sensations only lasted for a short while. She felt the last bits of the energy enter her, and then her body was flung back with a great force. Her back hit the wall all the way down the hall, and she fell forward. She could barely move, her movements were nimble and slow. The pain still coursed deeply within her. But she could also feel a power so immense and so ancient run withn her body. She struggled to her knees. Her hands under her as she breathed heavily. Why had she just gone through this. It wasnt even in her heritage to get this cursed power. She could feel, feel it more since now it was her own. It was dark and evil, but she knew she couldnt expell it. She stood slowly, using the wall as balance. Her arms felt raw. She lifted her sleeves to see red markings along her arms. It burned. Yet it didnt even have the outlines of the invisible rope that had come around them. It had letters and symbols. She squinted her eyes, but she could see nothing. She moved next to the wall, and leaned against it, the instance she felt her body give way to falling down.

She watched in horror at her grandmother's failed attempt to free Niessa. She moved forward not caring what could have happened, but there was no use. She could onyl go so far. But then Niessa's body was thrown down the hall and she broke out into a run, "Niessa!!" She skidded to a halt not to far from her and watched as she slowly stood. She watched her with horror and curiosity and then moved to her when she saw her fall against the wall, "Niessa..." She knelt down beside her and grabbed her arm, looking at her grandmother who had joined them, "What was that?" She looked at Niessa, "Are you alright?" She had never seen anything of the like, only when she had seen the image of her mother lying in the room that she was sure was nearby. She grit her teeth pushing away the images that entered her mind and then squared her shoulders, she had to forget thsoe thigns for now and focus on Niessa and her well being.

She watched as the energy blasted Niessa against the wall down the corridor and started out after her. She had to make sure she was ok, for Rionos, and Mae, and her own self. She knelt down and looked over Niessa seeing the red marks but not knowing what the ment. She pulle doff the jacket she had on and placed it under Niessa's head and then looked at Zora, "Exactly what you think it was Zora. It was the power I had warned you about." She looked down at Niessa and pulled a vile from her pocket that she carried everywhere with her, "Take this, it will dull the pain of everything. We have to get you to the Tower." She looked around wondering if she could make a make-shift stretcher to carry her out on.

She shook her head. "No...I'm fine. It's just a little a pain..I can handle it." She sighed but shot Zora and Nailana brief glances. She looked at her hand, it was shaking pretty badly, but she would ignore it. Her body still ached, but she knew she could handle it. She had made it through the worse of it, the brunt of it, and what she felt now was almost like child's play. She moved from against the wall, trying to steady herself. Why had it chosen her? That's what she couldnt understand. But she also wondered if this was the power her mother had been after for so long. She shook the thoughts from her mind, and stared at the rubble around the hallway. The place had shaken pretty badly, and the screams from before had seized so that was good. She looked up, and then moved from Nailana and Zora and walked into the room she'd felt Nailana in earlier. There was blood stained on the floor and she wondered if it was the same blood that had belonged to the people who had entered her before. In the middle of the room there was an empty space. She moved to it, and saw nothing but darkness. Had it all really entered her? It would explain the amount of pain she'd just been through. She noticed a door off to the left, although it seemed shut. She stepped towards it, and ran her finger along the outlines. "Open...." She spoke softly, a green outline appearing around obvious spot and the wall shook. A loud sound, coming from it, as the bricks that protuded forward cracked and slid to an open. There was darkness all around. Nothing could be seen or felt. She waved her hand, torches lighting up instantly. She stepped forth, and her eyes went wide. The room.....was covered in nothing but ancient artifacts. And when you spoke about Ancient...it looked to be millions of years old. The room itself was huge. And it made you wonder if it existed in the same castle. She walked to the side and pulled out a torch, to light up the more darker areas. She moved to a bookshelf. It was huge, something she'd never seen before. It even held more books than in the library. She ran her hands on the spines of the book, as she walked by.

She looked at her grandmother and then stood quickly and followed Niessa into the room. She looked around and saw the blood stains. Her eyes went wide for a moment and then she shook her head, "This is where it happened. This where Poppy tried to kill himself to get rid of that thing inside of him. This is where mom discovered she was pregnant with Rionos...and..." She looked at Niessa curiously and then closed her eyes. She stood silent for a long time as the replay of images shot through her head. Finally she found the one she had been looking for and concentrated on it. Everythign that had happened to her mother had happened to Niessa. She opened her eyes and moved to where Niessa was and looked around astounded by the pure magnitude of the place. So many things that looked older then even her Grandfather Dom. She watched Niessa and then looked around again, "That power...it's the same that entered my mother isnt it? I saw it..."

She looked at Niessa with concern and watched as she stood and moved into the room, shortly followed by Zora. She put the vile back in her pocket and stood, holding her stomach breifly. the ominous feeling had returned and she looked around, wondering if whatever it was that had tried to kill her child was still there. She still was unsure if her child was safe but she couldnt leave Zora and Niessa in here alone. They would not have been able to get out if she did. She mvoed into the room and let her eyes fall breifly on the dry puddle of blood. Suddenly she saw him lying there again. The scythe buried deep into his stomach. She closed her eyes trying to block out the images that were there. But they wouldnt go away. Finally she opened her eyes and ignored the phantom body and moved towards the door and looked around, "What is this place?"

She listened to some of Zora's words, but she could only hear so much from where she was. "Try not to think about those things, Zor. You're only making things worse for yourself." She took a breath. "I wouldnt be surprised...I remember the story Mae told us..about what happened when she was pregnant with Rionos...but what I dont understand is why it chose me..." She looked at Nailana and shook her head. "No idea to be honest. But the room was locked. And I doubt anyone noticed it before. But these items...they're old...really old. Probably millions of years." She eyed a statue of an overgrown cat that was mummified. "It's as if it's a treasure of the mysteries of the world..." She stopped from her trek along the bookcase and ran her hand over one particular book. She pulled it out and looked at it. It was pretty big, bigger than mostof the books. She moved to a table in the middle of the room and put it down. The book, it was covered in bones and human flesh. She frowned, she could feel something evil emanate from it. She ran her hand over the cover. How could someone create a book like this? She opened the cover and ran her hand over the first page, and repeated what was writting inside. "Tome of Eternal Darkness..." Her eyes reflected the fire of the torch. She repeated the it again. "...Tome of Eternal Darkness..." Something was wrong. This book....this book was evil. It held only an evil feel to it, yet, it was drawing her to it. As if it was her destiny to find it, find it and keep it safe from the wrong hands.

She watched Niessa and moved over to where she was looking at the book. She looked at it then stepped back slightly. She shuddered, "That book is pure evil. I can feel it in my bones. I can hear whispers of whatever power it holds." She looked at Niessa again, "Maybe we should put it back and lock the room back up. Chances are if it was locked and has been untouched it will stay untouched. No one can enter the castle anyway without a gaurdian. and the guardians are in our..." She stopped and looked curiously behind her at her grandmother. She eyed her for many moments, getting a sudden feeling in her abdomen. She clutched it and then looked at Niessa and lowered her voice, "I think it's time we go...."

She stepped into teh room more and looked around mystified, "I never noticed it before when i was here. Even before the guardians where put in place and my father roamed freely through here. I can feel a mystical aura about it. Everything has its own power, some good, and some evil." She moved forward towards the girls and looked over the book. But she had to step backa nd pretend to be looking at one of the other artifacts as she felt the dull ache turn into a full blown white hot poker kind of pain. She winced slightly but straightened her face, trying to not let on that something was wrong. She knew she needed to get out of there but she wasn't sure if they had found what they needed. She barely heard Zora's words but nodded in agreement and spoe trying to kep her voice from being strained, "Yeah I think so too. I have to check on Salandra..."

She shook her head to Zora. She was not going to leave this book, not now. It had called for her. It had whispered to her, and it was for her to have. For her to protect. "You both go...I'll leave when I'm ready." She said suddenly, placing her arms tightly around it. The book was covered in nothing but evil, she knew that. But this Castle was evil enough for anyone. And if the screams she'd heard earlier was any indication, it held many loathsome creatures deep within it's secret structure. "I havent found what I needed, so I'm not leaving. Dont worry about me. I'll be fine. I'll find my way out. If my mother did when she was Mae before, I can as well." The truth was, she wanted to delve deeper into what in here. In this room specifically. There was so much mystery in this area that she couldnt just go without quenching her curiosity. Maybe it would have information on what was happening to Rionos. But also she wanted her hand at the shielded room again. The room that held a barrier made from the same power that had entered her. And because of the power that was now hers, she knew that the secrets of the Castle would not harm her. It would open up for her at will, because in some odd sense, her life had been merged to this castle, to it's secrets, to its pain. Just as Mae's had been when it entered her body, as Nailana's was because she was a guardian.

She looked at Niessa and then her grandmother. She knew if she didn't get her out of here soon she might loose the child she was carrying in her. She looked at Niessa again, "I'm taking her back to the Tower and checking on mom. But I'll be back. I can't just let you stay in here by yourself, we are in this together. We have to find a way to bring Rionos back to himself and get Dorian back. And if I have to i am willing to go to that dispicable Kalamir and find out what he knows. I have yet to see what other secrets the catle holds I have one that will interest you. But You'll see it later." She turned and moved to her grandmother's side, "Let's go grandma, you need to get home to rest. You have been strained to much today." The moment she touched her she saw what had happened and it made her a bit frantic. She looked at Niessa, "Be careful. Something evil Lurks here."

She looked up and sighed, "I will leave the door ajar slightly just incase you can not get out of here without a guardian's help. I'm sorry i couldnt be more of an assitance to you Niessa." She looked at Zora and smiled slightly, "I appreciate the concern. I do feel suddenly ill. I think I need a bit of rest and thats all." She looked at Niessa again, "If you are still here when i am rested I will return and help you on your search." She turned and moved towards the door that led out of the castle. The Pain increasing with each step. She suddenly began to become afraid, what if her not leaving had caused her to loose the child. She grit her teeth and smiled appreciatively at Zora when she began to help her from the room. They made it to the outside and she moved her hand shutting the door slightly, leaving it barely ajar. Then she let Zora take ahold of her arm and fade them to the Tower.

She nodded to them both. "Thank you, I appreciate the concern, but I'll be fine..." When she sensed them gone, she muttered. "...I am Yarizel's daughter after all...." She laughed to herself and waved her hand at the door to the room. "Close." The door started to shake again and it closed once again, leaving her here alone in this ancient room. Her eyes remained glued on the book. She opened the second page and started to read from it. The hairs on the back of her head movig upward. There was no doubt this book, this room, and this castle was enveloped in darkness. Whatever had caused someone to make a castle in such a hauntin area was beyond her. But she read and hoped that she would find a way to stop the madness that seemed to be inflicting her husband, that seemed to be inflicting the world. It was just her and the castle, and whatever occured no would stay a secret only to be known by them both. A secret that would die within these walls as well as her own life. She read on, and relaxed. Deep down, amongst the frustration and the ominous feeling that she felt in the gut of her stomach she was at peace with herself because this was her destiny.
