There was a pool of memories shooting in and out of his conscious, but at the top was this place, no a desolate, barren land that he recognized once as what was a great city, trhiving with life and people, with a soul unlike any other. This wasn't a dream place, nor was it an illusion created by the Elite. This had been quite a real place and he must have been put there eons before it fell, before it was taken by the darkness, the sickness which had swallowed practically everyone, destroying the city from within, from the life force that drove it. Picking up several pieces of rubble, he ran a hand over one piece and pocketed it in his white tunic, memories of his living quarters here, where he had taken care of several families at once who were some of the first to feel the affliction of the sickness. Then he'd been given orders to leave, to trek through the desert, which seemed to have gone such a transformation because there was forest now, though a strip of sand ran along with it, a strange occurance, but then again, the Elite had a way of creating fabulous things, as he knew. It had been quite a fight there among the others, but in the end he had found the scrolls, the books, the writings of which he could leave, feeling his own soul being called to this world. Sitting on the space where his straw bed used to lie, he looked around, missing the place tremendously. He had learned so much there, yet never felt truly at home, but still, now, around this place, this world, he felt a sense of belonging. Closing his eyes, he let the wind hit his face and enjoyed nature's simple gifts.

It was like a crimson dream. Everything had been red and something had been calling to her. It was strange it was like a vision within a darkness enveloped in red. She'd awoken with a start, Rionos still sleeping beside her before she left. All she knew was that she needed to get to the place that had haunted her dreams. It had been something so vivid and while she could feel something important pulling her there she could barely remember everything. She'd left Rionos a note before she set off. Why had she been drawn to the ruin of all places? If only she could remember everything fully. The only thing she could see was a face. A face that looked so familiar but she couldnt place it amongst the crimson color that hid it. She marched amongst the ruins a dread coming over her. Suffering came to these people but everything was skewed. She couldnt delve into the past of this place and that was odd. It was one of the things she was able to do but not in this place. She shook her head of the thought and walked along. Maybe something or someone would appear or maybe it was wishful thinking on her part. Her feet mood steadily amongst the debris, almost like having a life of their own. Finally she stopped in the middle of a square, marble still residing in what she could see to have been a magnificent building. She looked around with confusion. Why here? "Hmm..." She started on her walk again and then stopped. Someone was sitting nearby. She raised a brow and moved towards them slowly. Maybe they had had the same vision? But who really certain. All she really knew was that maybe she could ask this person a question or two about this place. She moved cautiously, unaware of who or what this figure could do. "Excuse me?..." She spoke softly, trying not to seem foreceful or scare the person in question.

Hearing the voice, he let it play in his head, something he felt familiar with, but that was really quite impossible in his eyes, but he kept his back to the young girl, who he let his own aura sense hers out and let himself fully take in her presence."May I be of help to you young one?" He shifted slightly, kicking at the dirt at his bare feet. He couldn't even recall the last time he had worn some type of shoes, or even some type of sandals, but there were bits and pieces of images in his head, and he knew at one time, he had worn several different type of footwear. Running his hand along the rough surface of the floor of his destroyed dwelling, he waited for the woman to come closer, wondering whether or not she would feel any type of saftey around him, because he knew at the moment, that she would most likely be kind enough to him in this type of situation.

The voice....it was so familiar but could it have been an illusion that her mind was conjuring up. It sounded like him but he was dead. Maybe she just missed him more than she thought she did and she was hearing things in places they didnt belong. She moved cautiously trying to stop her mind from working into overdrive for something that couldnt be possible. She jumped over the remnants of what she knew to be a wall and came closer to him. "Yes...by chance...did you too have a dream that led you here?" She took her time. He felt so familiar to her. But the confusion from the dream was still whirling in her and she couldnt make much sense of anything at the moment.

"Not a dream no, but I thought maybe it had been a dream, but it was a very real occurrence, which I am very grateful for going through." He smiled and just listened to her moving closer, her steps making her distance that much more evident. Tugging on the bottom of his tunic, he craned his neck backwards and gave her a smile."Hello. Vandos. Pleasure to meet such a pretty young woman."

Why did the voice sound like his...She knew Rionos had been attempting to bring him back, but she was under the impression that it might have taken awhile. She took a deep breath, and moved cautiously now. That was until the instance she herad his name and it caused to stop dead in her tracks. She stood still, her eyes in shock while she tried to play it in her head again. "....Dad...." She whispered softly. "...It worked...." But as the words rushed from her mouth she realized he had called her 'young lady' and that wasnt a good sign at all. "...Do-..don't you remember me, dad?..Uncle Van...?"

He laughed and just looked to her as if she was out of her mind."You must be mistaking me with someone else. Why, there is such a familiarity with this all, but a father and Uncle? I say, that's quite something though, to be a father and an Uncle. Perhaps maybe I was, somewhere at sometime, though it's all quite foggy up here." He tapped the side of his head."I just know of living here, but now this place is gone. Horrible happenings to destroy it, horrible."

"Well...you're really not my father...you're my father through marriage...I'm...I'm married to your son....Rionos...and before I married him...you were like my Uncle...you and my father...Cerberus...are best friends...actually you and my dad...and Uncle Ather...you were all close...I..." She was confused as hell now. He had lived in this city? She looked around with interest, she was under the impression this city was destroyed thousands of years ago. But then again...maybe had he gone through amnesia? "...Your name is Vandos Zanlaraniel...isnt it?"

"Quite a long last name. I don't really have one now that I think about it. My name is Vandos though, yes, and all of these friends, is quite something. I don't recall knowing any of these said creatures dear child." He smiled politely."You must be mistaking me with someone else, you truly must be." Nodding, he got up and brushed himself off and looked around, walking towards her. "You have quite a strength about you, that much about you I do know. But Ather, Cerberus, Rionos. All of these people might as well be fish lost to the ocean, because I don't know anything of them."

So he didnt remember anything. She just looked at him, it was definately Vandos, this was his voice, and she was looking at him. But he seemed so different. She could recognize his aura but there was something so vastly different than before. "Your name is Vandos Zanlaraniel...even if you cant remember it....You're one of the kindest demons out there...and everyone around you adores you..because you always bring a smile to their faces....and you love...you love, Maezyl King. You both have this eternal long, lasting, love type of thing." She wasnt sure what he could do now since after all he had been dead for sometime. "And you have children together...one of them being Rionos...and...I can prove you have a son...if you can just lay your hand on my stomach...you can feel the life in me...the life that has both my essence and his essence, which ultimately is part of yours, intermingled into them..."

"I couldn't think of doing such a thing, I really don't know you in such a way." He shook his head and stepped back."Well, whatever it is you're saying, perhaps is true of course, nothing is impossible of course, but that is little to prove what you are saying to me." He laughed and shook his head."I'm glad that who you speak of can have such a presence in the life of others." Walking a few paces in the opposite direction, he just watched as the sun hid behind several clouds."Beautiful thing, nature."

Having read the letter, he sensed something familiar out there somewhere rather quickly and was already fading in and gave Niessa a smile."Morning." Grinning, he just looked over and then stood still, in awe of what was there in front of him. It was his father, alive, and it had worked. He had done it, and here was the man he'd seen dead not so long ago standing alive in front of him."Dad..." He rubbed his eyes and just took a cautious step forward, unsure of whether he would be angry with him or not.

She frowned. How could she prove to him that what she was saying was true. "But you're the man I'm speaking about, dad..." She bit her lip and turned her head when Rionos appeared. She smiled softly but it disappeared within seconds. "Rionos....he doesnt remember anything..." She frowned. "...He says he lived in this town before it was destroyed...." She didnt know what else to do or say. She would have liked to just bring him with her, but she couldnt force him, not when he didnt remember anything. "I...hope you fare better in convincing him..." She took a breath. "Maybe...."

"And who might you be young man?" He smiled and just warmed up tremendously, something about the young man making him fairly happier about his situation here."Would you happen to be with this pretty young woman who swears she knows so much about who I should be. I haven't asked anything yet, she's very talkative." He gave Niessa a smile."It's good though, it helps to solve things much faster."

"That's impossible!" He shook his head and just frowned."Dad, Vandos, you're my father!" He walked towards him, the exact opposite of Niessa and just looked him right in the eyes."Can't you see any part of you within me? My aura? Anything?" He wrung his hands together and just frowned."Why can't you remember anything? If I had know bringing you back would begin such a torturous future where my father didn't know me, I'd not have done it."
