"No arguing that. I was a grade A dumbass." He shrugged and then gave her a toothy smile that quickly faded. "I've learned a lot since those days. Doesn't help that I thought I was a big bad wolf, you know? I'm just glad I grew out of that shit. It's weird just thinking back on those days and seeing how I am today. Eh, I don't regret it though it's all been a learning experience and I wouldn't be who I am if it weren't for that."

She shrugged. "Everyone learns a lot. You have quite the family, but it seems as if the once might Hannibal is heading into retirement more than he's actually getting things done. I've traveled quite a bit and the names of old are just that. Old. You, Orenar, Ather, the Lees. All being replaced. Such is the way of life though."

"That's no surprise. It was bound to happen. We can't be 'legends' forever. It's time for the next generation to take up reins. Like my Fenrir, I see big things for him. But I also see big things for my grandson Rionos. That boy is only going to get more powerful and you would never think he's of the King line." He laughed.

"That's because he's from his mother and father, not you." She rolled her eyes. "No good news has ever come from your family, even now." Lorenia stood up and went over to the man, who'd definitely grew up since she last saw him. She couldn't help herself though, and her hand rested on his shoulder, rubbing out a knot she felt in his muscle.
"Let's hope some of them don't make the same mistakes of their ancestors. I heard what happened to your grandson, son and daughter. No good will come from that."

Hannibal stared at her for a few moments before pulling away from her touch. This was a can of worms waiting to be opened and he wouldn't give it a chance. "Yeah yeah. I'm still amazed at how powerful he's getting. These kids. These kids are going to be more powerful than any of us ever thought. It's going to be something."

Lorenia laughed. "Curious. And it'll be something, but not if they end up being too strong. Didn't one already kill their father? After you kill your father, what's a grandfather?" Lorenia tossed some money on the counter and shrugged her shoulders.
"Maybe before you die though, you'll realize that maybe those feelings inside weren't always so bad." She chuckled. "I know when a creature has fall in love and lust with me. Age changes nothing King." She smiled softly. She had many men who loved her, but she only held a select few in her heart. Not that she necessarily loved back, but that she kept tabs on.

"Lorenia. You'll always have a place in my heart for reasons you know but I'm much older and a little wiser believe it or not. I'll only love one and she's my wife even if she's the biggest pain my ass. I love her completely. There ain't no other woman that can compare to that. But I'll always be fond of you."

"Those are respectable words, but if I wanted to, I could make you cheat on her in a heartbeat, but I won't." Lorenia laughed. "It's more fun to tease you in such ways, you always were mpre fun to tease."

"We need to do this again soon. You know not just wait 500 years inbetween." He laughed and stood up. "I better get home. Take care of yourself. You might be a pain in my butt too but wouldn't want anything to happen to you." He headed for the door. "And if you ever find you need help or just a place to stay come to the Tower. " And he walked out feeling a tiny bit better in this world of his that was only darkening by the day.

"Let's hope you live that long Hannibal King." Lorenia watched him walk out and smacked a man who was still on the floor trying to cop a feel. "Men will be men." Rolling her eyes, Lorenia headed out of the tavern to go and get some writing done.
