"Fair Enough." She faced him once again, "It seems to me we've become acquaintances in the time we've known one another, Ather. Odd in some aspects but very refreshing in others." She smiled, leaning forth to grab a piece of bat and ate it.

"I know what you mean Sareanna, I know." He smiled and finished his bowl of food.

She kept her smile up, but it faded from her features slowly. "I must know something, the day we went to the castle, did you have with you the feather I gave you?"

"I have it with me now, always. I put it in my satchel, I've never taken it out. Why?" He looked at her curiously.

She remained silent and in thought. The feather belonged to her. She thought back about the first day her wings had sprouted. None had seen it then or now None even knew she could do that, but her. She remembered what had caused them to sprout, and that feather was her reminder of the horrific events that occured on that day. "That feather can gain you access into the castle, if you know the right spell."

"I see. Might not want to go into that castle." He laughed and shook his head. "Maybe, perhaps I will, perhaps I won't."

"If you dare go further, it can aid you. But some friendly advice, do not enter any further than you have. There's something malevolent inside." She laughed slightly as she stared at him, a thought crossing her mind.

"I know malevolent. Nothing inside of that castle can put fear in me. Nothing. I care not what you, or anyone else says." He nodded.

"So be it, Ather, so be it." She gave a nod. "There seem to have been many arrivals since my absense. Some more powerful than others." She turned back to the window, "Shame, it will not rain on this eve."

"Good weather for your friend to return then." He nodded and laid back, yawning. "Yes, people here come and go. No big deal. Nothing I worry about."

She shook her head, frowning. "I fear the worse in all honesty. I hope I am wrong, more than anything. You seem not worried by much of anything as it is."

"No, not at all. No harm will befall me from whatever you think might happen. Stop worrying so much Sareanna. It's not healthy after all, despite what you may be."

"I know but you forget, I am a female after all, and we tend to do that at times." She snickered. "At times I wonder what it would be to live life as a male, as odd as it might sound. Maybe penis envy has been provoked." She kept snickering, and smiled broadly.

"Not of me however." He gave her a knowing glance and then opened his door. "It is time for you to leave. Not being rude or anything, but there are some coming to this place, some who will dislike you beyond anything you've seen. I rather deal with them on a good note." He nodded. "Do not take this the wrong way, but you can leave your stuff here if you do not wish to carry it wherever you are bringing it."

She stood, "I understand, it is to be understood , after all I am as I am." She wandered towards the door and picked up her bag. "Thank you for the offer, but I rather get these items out of my hand." She dug in it, and brought out a very big piece of silver. She slung her bag on one shoulder. "Catch," she threw the silver towards him. "Best silver around, it can make the most effective of weapons." She opened the door. "Best of luck with your guests, Ather." She walked out.
