He dove under the surface of the water and made hsi way to the bottom. He began to pick sea shells off the bottom and put them in pouch at his waste. He had done this since he was a child. He found that ti soothed him when he was angry or even when he was upset. And he had every reason to be upset now a days. For some reason an all to familiar aura began to grate over his senses. And Aura of someone who was supposed to be dead. He felt it again and quickly made it to the surface, letting out a very loud and frustrated yell.

She turned, hearing a sudden yell. She had fallen asleep beside one of the larger dunes of the Bay. She got up slowly, and dusted the sand from her hair and clothes and looked around. If someone was in trouble, she might as well help them, even if she was trying to rest from her last 4 nights of restlessness because of the triplets. She got up slowly, fixing the hem of her dress, why she was taking towearing dresses lately was beyond her. It was most likely, in the case she turned into her Demonic form, she would think twice about fighting or killing, knowing the risk of showing everyone her goodies. She picked up her shoes, and started towards the water, a soft breeze blowing her pinkish dress. She dug her feet into the sand, smilig, thinking the feel of wet sand between the toes was a good one.

The memories were overtaking him he didn't want to think of it. He clutched at the shell that was in his hand, crushing it into powder. He made his way to the bank slowly. He reached ti and his knees buckled under him. He slammed his fists against the shore several times, the little shards of shell cutting his hand. Finally he collapsed face down trying to forget the memories.

She could see someone emerge from the water and then go into a fury attack. Over what she didnt know. Maybe he had been hurt by something in the water, or maybe it was something else. She didnt know, but she was curious to see if she could help. She walked over to them and stood mere feet from them. The aura seemed familiar to her. "I dont think eating sand will help you." She said silently. "Anything I can do to help?"

He groaned inwardly when he heard the voice. IT wasn't that he didn't want to see her. But she seemed to make his mind want to face those memories even more. He slolwy flipped over and with his uncut hand wiped teh sand from his face, "I doubt anythign can help me at this point Illyra." He smiled slightly, "If you could posibly help me forget teh past then yes you could help me."

"Well, not too sure on what I could or couldnt do. It depends on what I'd be helping to forget." She saw the blood on his hand and she sat down, infront of him. She just grabbed his hand without saying a word, and pulled out a hankerchief she had been carrying and placed it on the cut on his hand, looking at him. "Maybe you should try to think of other things to preoccupy your mind, Marcus." She looked at him.

He watched her tending his hand and started to pull it away, "You do not have to do that." He sighed and looked away his features darkening, more out of anger to himself then anything, "If I still can't block them out after ten years, thinking of something else wont work. But maybe you can help an old man forget of a life that is dead." A film appeared over his eyes and he blinked them. He hadn't ment for that last word to have a double meaning but it had.

She shook her head. "Dont be stubborn, Marcus." She grabbed his hand again and put the hankerchief right back ontop of it and started to wipe the blood away. She eyed him. "Well I can do my best to help you forget." She smiled at him, and then put his hand back at his side. "Ten years is a long time, Marcus. I dont know what happened, but in order forget, if not move on which is most important, you need to let go. At least that's what my mother has said."

He gave in and let her tend to his hand. His thoughts were returning to his sons and his wife. Julianna had been his everything, and his son's they had been a joy in his life that nothign could compare too. Even not knowing his parents seemed trivial to him when he thought about how he would be there for them. He sighed and looked back at her, "Ten years is not long enough. The death of a wife and children is something that no man should live with Illyra."

She sighed a bit, looking at him. "I agree, but at some point you have to move on. They wouldnt have wanted you to Ruminate over it for this long. They would have wanted you to move on, fall in love again, start a new family." She picked up a seashell and stared at it. "You'll only be self-destructing yourself if you dont let go. Maybe you should visit their graves. I hear speaking to the tombs of loved ones, is very soothing. I wouldnt know though."

He sighed inwardly, "It is something I do not think I can do. Because as my own parents, moving on will be hard. My father told me it took him over 2,000 years to finally look at another woman in that way. My mother would have been the same had her memory not been destroyed." He watched her then turned away, "They have no graves Illyra." He thought of Lucius and made a vow to visit his grave soon. IT wasn't like talking to him but it was being near his presence that soothed him.

She sighed. "Then nothing else I can say on the subject, can I? I can only hope that you do manage to move on, before you lose a part of yourself for dwelling on this too long." She frowned. She didnt want to ask any details, knowing it was probably very painful for him. "Well why dont you construct one? At least as a memorial so you have a place for them? It wouldnt hurt would it? I think you need it, Marcus."

"It already has Illy. It already has." He sighed and stood and started to pace the beach. He peeled his wet shirt from hsi body and tossed it angrily across the beach, "Where? Where would I do it? I can not return to the place our home once stood. IT would mean I'd have to look upon the ashes of the home, and possibly of my family." His voice cracked and he chocked on the words, "IT would mean I'd have to face them. a failure as a father and husband."

She bit her lower lip as she watched his distressed and also listened to the way he talked about them. "A memorial can be put anywhere. Maybe a spot you would spend your days as a family. She stood slowly, and walked over to him. She didnt care if he was wet, but without thinking she just wrapped her arms around him. She couldnt explain it, but she just went with her actions, whatever the reason for them to happen was.

He had continued pacing, but the moment her arms came around him he stilled. IT was the first time since his wife that any woman had been able to still him with just a touch. He hung his head low and then turned towards her and wrapped his arms around her as well. He let hsi head rest against hers and sighed, "The best place for a memorial would be the sight of there death." He sighed and lai dhis chin on her shoulder, closing his eyes against the onslaught of memories.
