He looked out at the scene in front of him, stretching out all around and he just yawned with a dull look about him. Feeling significantly old in his demonic age, he continued thinking of things, things mostly someone like Circe had spoken to him about, making atonement with his children, some others, and to be nicer, but this just wasn't a thing someone like Orenar Taninide did in a day, let alone a year, of a century. Raised by greed and power and evil, it was simply his life, his basis on the world. Shrugging to himself, he put a hand out to the air and just began talking to himself quietly."Perhaps my son doesn't want to talk to me, it would be wasteless to waste valued breath on him if he does not use his own to speak to me. I am his father, he is supposed to come to me, not the other way around." He nodded and swung his legs over the outcrop of mountain and jumped down several levels, his boots making a loud crunch against the rocks and dirt of the mountain and he summoned a fireball, making it grow bigger and bigger, willing his energy into it, and it was now the size of a large dog, but continued growing, now, bigger than him, heating up all around and finally, after several minutes, it was as big as a house. His arms bulged, veins pulsing, running across his whole body and his eyes glowed a fierce red, and he screamed, releasing all of the energy, sending his arms upward and watching the huge fireball rise into the sky, and staring at it for quite some time, he just admired it, until eventually, after watching, it became as small as pebble and finally just disappeared from sight in the sky."If I have all this power, why was I not given my right to our heritage?" He looked out, where his fireball had disappeared."I have done nothing but shown loyalty to my own kind for years, and I am repaid with that Zotithla becoming what some of my kind has been working towards for our entire lives!" His face contorted in anger and he just slammed his fists into the side of the mountain, the surrounded area crumbling and tumbling down the side of the mountain.

"I'm up here already, are you happy, Ceres?" She watched as Ceres walked away from view. She rolled her eyes, thinking it might have been a bad idea to have listened to her. "No Circe, you need to lose weight unless you want to remain looking like a a whale, Circe. You need the exercise, Circe. You wont regret it, Circe." She said in a mocking tone. "I regret it now." She turned around, and yelled. "I'LL GET YOU FOR THIS CERES!!" She had an inkling of why she wanted her out of the Grotto. She kicked a stone and rubbed her belly, just taking her time here. She hadnt been past these mountain ranges since she arrived with Rilon and she was glad to see them again. She did agree on one thing, the fresh air was doing her a lot of good. She put the hood over her face, wrapped her arms around herself and just let her feet take her wherever. A sound came to her ears and she looked up to see a gigantic fireball in the sky. She looked at it, just admiring how big it was. She looked around, trying to make anyone out. She stopped for a moment, and pulled out an apple and just started chewing on it. Since her pregnancy she ate a lot more fruits and found the taste to be much better than the junkfood she kept craving, although chocolate still took the number one place in her book. To her it was her ambrosia. And with that thought in her mind, she dug in her pocket and pulled out a chocolate bar and took a bite from it. She smiled to herself and walked happily. She was like a kid now, when she was eating, or about to eat she was happy, and when she had chocolate she was ten times more joyful. She finally saw someone and squinted her eyes. She came closer and managed to hear their words and smiled, realizing who it was, but frowned when she heard his voice raise higher. He was angry, and with the statement she just heard, it had to do with this feud that existed with the Taninide's and the Zotithla's. Rilon had told her of it, she thought it was foolish but knew that to a lot of demons this was a way of life.

He just sat down and then pulled his boots off, and then tugged his socks off as well and looked to his feet. Sensing her somewhere nearby, he didn't particularly care if she witnessed this and he started to pick at his largest toenail, and then noticed that there were several thorns imbedded into his foot and there were welts and bruises because of them and he just tugged at them boringly.

She squinted her nose when she saw what he was doing, but then laughed a bit. The Taninide men never ceased to amaze her. They never cared about anything of the conventional ways of acting, which was one of the reasons she enjoyed being in their lives. She moved from the main path to a more rugged terrain and eyed him. "I think I have a clipper if you need it."

He turned his head and then shook it."No, not strong enough for these. Care to give them a go and try your luck in picking at one?" He shrugged."They are fairly clean, the bottoms were poisoned by thorns however and I did not realize."

She moved closed and inspected them from her position. She looked at him, and tried sitting down, but it was proving a difficult task. When she finally made it down, she looked at him and patted her lap. "Alright, bring your feet here." She smiled at him. "The things I do for your Taninides." She winked jokingly and waited for his foot.

He eyed her with surprise and then looked at her lap and then to his feet."You are sure...?" he thought it was strange of her, but then this was Circe. Taking the favor, he gently put his feet on her lap."You should not be outside so far in your current state. You are carrying Rilon's child and putting it into danger." He nodded and sucked at his teeth."Sometimes, a long time ago, when I felt I should be a little fatherly, as Rilon was a tiny little boy, I would set him with the challenge with taking care of my nails. I stopped when the boy took a dagger to my toes."

She looked at him and started picking at the thorns, not being gentle, since she knew only brute force would pry them off. She looked up to him and shook her head. "My friend's nearby, besides, I can fade just as easily." She pulled out a hankerchief, to stop the pus that was coming from taking out the thorns. She started laughing. "Nice to see even when he was young, Rilon was the same." She eyed him and kept doing what she was doing. "Why are you up here alone?"

"Use your imagination dear Circe." he nodded and watched her silently as she worked with his foot. It did not hurt him in the least. He was used to things like this and it took a lot more to hurt him than a few thorns in his foot. He figured that the thorns held a numbing substance and just smiled, looking at her belly.

"I dont want to. I want to be lazy." She laughed a bit. "I know though, just thinking, as a lot of people would do." She kept working meticulously, looking at the foot to make sure nothing was on it. "Well at least tell me if you came to some grand conclusion on your thinking."

"That the Zotithla child does not deserve such power. He could not control it. And he still can't Circe." He nodded firmly and then wriggled his toes."How is the child? And yourself?"

"Does anyone ever really deserve so much power?" She looked at him, and then finished, and moved her finers between his toes, trying to do anything that could help the blood accumulated in the bruises to start flowing again. "We're just fine. He's asking for a lot to eat lately." She laughed. "And I have to do what he says, because he's the boss for now."

Her words fell on a flat note to him for he was just staring at the sky, dark, save for something very odd in the sky, that made his eyes open wide."Circe, do tell me if I am seeing things." He pointed to the dark sky, where a moon should be, there were two, like bloodshot eyes, two moons which were crimson red.

She turned around slowly and looked up. Something was in the sky but she didnt know what. They looked like eyes, maybe the eyes of a monster, she didnt know. She turned to him, her expression one of surprise. "They look like eyes." She turned around again. "This better not be some stupid sign."

"It is back." His eyes lit up like a small child's and he just looked to her and then back up into the sky and they soon disappeared and replaced by the single pale, yellow moon now."Circe, for the time being, I would advise you to be very wary when you are out alone okay? I will bring you home." He nodded and started putting his socks on.
