"That would be unfair. He might break a hip." She giggled. "Maybe you should speak to him. Though I heard one of the Handmaidens say that my mother told them to prepare a room for you..." She looked down, and muttered. "..Next to my room." She looked up to him, smiling. "And why do we mean so much to you, M'lord?"

"You gave me a warm family environment to feel welcome in, even though you didn't have to. Earnur didn't have to do what he did, he could have treated me like every other trainee, and I wonder why he decided to treat me in such a fatherly way."

"My uncle is a rarity. But you've come to understand that in these few millenia. Maybe it is best you ask him, the next you speak." She turned her head towards the window, and frowned. "The funerals for the fallen elves are occurring...what a gloomy day to be buried.."

"Yes, indeed." He sighed and pulled her from the window."Do not concern yourself with such things at the moment. You have been to many burials such as those." He nodded and just stood up.

She looked to him. "I have, but never for the elves here." She frowned. "And I sensed something strange within the walls of the palace. Another creature, but I've no idea what." She sighed. "I feel somewhat useless, not much experience, or knowledge like both you and Iaraya have."

"If you pay attention to the stories I've told you, and the stories Earnur has told us, you know more than you think." he thought silently."I am going out of the barriers tomorrow, I don't care what the rules may be, but I figure I can get past them."

"There are no longer rules. My mother lifted the spell on the barriers so our peoples can go in and out when they please." She frowned. "You're hurt you should not be venturing out either way, and if you do, then I'll come with you."

" I couldn't allow you to come with me Laita. Besides, I'm not too badly hurt. I can still fight if I have to." He nodded. "You can't come." He shook his head.

She looked to him. "You can shake your head as many times as you wish and say it, but that doesnt mean I will listen. I will be going, with or without you." She got up.

"Well, I can tell you no, but if I find you followed me, there will be nothing I can do. That's all I'll say on that matter. Now, I assume I'll rest. Please, if you see Earnur, tell him to wake me so we can speak." He disappeared out into the hall and then eventually into his room.

"I know that, hence why I'll be doing it." She sighed then shook her head and disappeared from the room.
