He slowly came to and rubbed his eyes. The last thing he remembered was passing out after having a small confrontation with an Elven Maiden. He looked around and sat up quickly wincing. "Where the fuck am I?" He looked around and slowly crawled out of the bed. He was pissed beyond belief that the woman had done exactly what he had not wanted. He was still hurt but he was determined to get out of this place.

She stood on the balcony for a bit longer, the last of the bodies had been laid to rest. She led her people on the final song. The song that commemorated them. The song dealt with the longest journey of them all towards the Valar. The people chanted and joined her, but her voice was the loudest, yet it was the softest. Many stared at her in awe, as if they had never heard her sing. When the final note left her mouth, she bowed her head in mourning, then spoke the last of her words. "Navear, Mellons. Noro go hûl, bado go Eru." The people cheered, and cried, and started on another song of lament. She watched them for another instant, then retired. She walked past the large pillars, that held the dome up above the extended part of her room. The white tree gleamed brightly, and the jewels did as well. She knew even the trees were paying their respects, and a very brief smile came around her lips. She walked past the giant tree in the middle of her own personal garden and headed towards her room. She a deep midnight blue colored dress, on this day to signify what it meant to her, and even her circlet was that color, though it was made with the whitest of gold. She turned her head towards the bed and saw her guest had gotten up. She looked about, but could not sense him. Maybe it was the fact that she was in mourning, and her abilities always became clouded during that time. Tears stained her eyes, and she hurried towards another part of her room, still nothing. She gave a sigh and sat on the edge of the bed, trying to calm herself. On this day she mourned more than the other elves, for on this day it was when Halmar was taken from her in battle.

He had been intent on leaving, but something made him stay. Perhaps it was the curiosity to know why she had helped him, when it ws he who had murdered her people. After he had dressed, he disappeared into the Ethreal Realm, where he could watch her with out her knowing. He waited catching the notes of a song and his own grief began to plague him. Tears ran down his cheeks as he listened. He had not expect himself to cry, it was not something he did. But at this time he was. He watched as she entered the room, sensing the sadness in her as well. Slowly he faded back into her reality and stood in a darkened corner. When he spoke, his voice was dark, and absent of emotion, "Why did you save me?"

She pulled out her husband's pendant, it had his name written in Elvish, and she kissed it. She placed it back, just staring into nothingness, wondering where the Fallen Angel had ran too, till she heard his voice. She turned to him, her own cheeks stained with tears. She spoke softly. "I felt compelled too. I do not understand it, but it was an urge, and if you had passed on, I did not want it to happen outside, where none would find you. Or were any would even care." Her thoughts raced with the instant she found Halmar lying dead on the ground.

He did not move but just stood watching her, staying in his shroud of darkness. "I told you to leave me be. If I had passed someone would have found me. I sense one of my daughters as of now in the forest searchng." He slowly stepped out of the darkness, "You should have let me die. It would have solved both of our problems." He saw the tears on her cheeks and as he stepped towards her he flet compelled to wipe them away. But he did not react, it was to close to Ceresa's death. And he did not even want to think of another.

"Both of our problems? It might have 'solved' yours, but not mine. Nothing can reverse what's happened. If your daughter is out searching for you, then you are free to go. I do not intend in keeping you as a prisoner." She stood, the hem of her dress falling to the ground. She walked slowly, to the door of the garden, and sensed something terribly wrong. It was her brother, she could sense this much. She looked towards Arioch, remembering the name he had called himself on that night. In that instant, she could feel why her brother had transformed into something he loathed, she shifted quickly, and hurried towards the connecting room, stepping out a few moments later. She picked up her staff, knowing she would have to stop her brother. Mostly for his own good, she knew what would happen if his teeth even managed to sink in any flesh, and she worried for it. She knew it would be a long while till he reached them, but just incase she was ready. She closed her eyes and spoke absentmindedly. "Belain na deth."

He studied her a moment then nodded, "It would stop my killing again. I can say that as long as I am here then i will not stop from killing. Not even you are safe in my presence." He watched her silently as she hurried from the room the hurried back, waiting till then to speak again, "I do not wish for my daughter to see me in this state. Although I am sure she senses it has happend." He raised his eyebrow a moment when he heard her Elven words, "You speak as if your cursing me."

"Then let that be the case." She shot him a quickly glance, and moved back to the open doors of the garden, leaning against the doorframe. It had begun to rain, which was perfect to match the mood of the day. She shot a brief smile, before her expression changed again. "I do not curse you, Mellon. I merely said, 'May the Valar be with us.'"

He stepped towards her, wondering what kind of spell she was casting over him. Ceresa was barely in the grave and he was thinking of this woman as if she were her. He watched the rain and then sighed, "It fits the mood, death and sadness." He caught himself beginning to smile and quickly let his features, drain of emotion, "I do not speak your language, so if we speak, make sure it is in the language i know. But tell me why we need the Valer to be with us?"

"I am aware, Mellon. But certain habits tend to die hard. I've spoken these words for eternity, almost." She looked to him, her gaze softer than before. "Aye, but it also gives hope. Of renewal, of second chances. Of the hope to be able to move on with you life. Even if it is difficult." Her eyes almost perked up, when she overheard her precious Leneca in the hallway, speaking to Ithilwen. She could guess why she was outside, it was so they could both mourn together. She turned back to Arioch. "Because I fear of what dangers have just been unleashed.. and what has yet to rear it's ugly head as it had in the early stages of life." Her eyes fogged over, in thought, almost forgetting that Arioch was there the instant she spoke the following words. "He musn't force me...to become as he has.."

He eyed her curiously then inclined his head, "I see. But there is no hope for me, I am empty now. The only joy I have are the ones who I will disappoint most. My life died, when my beloved died." His eyes clouded over a moment then he looked at her when she turned to him, "What has this got to do with me? Whatever it is, if it is after me, I wish for you to again do as i say and let me face this alone." He watched her as she lost herself in thought then he reached out and gently touched her arm, "Who mustn't force you?"

She looked at him somewhat curiously. "If you speak of your daughter, I have learnt through my own, that even when they disagree, and are disappointed in you, in their hearts they still care and love you." She sensed sadness from him. "I do understand, Mellon." She looked at him with genuine caring eyes. "I cannot allow that. Not only for what might happen to you, but also he." She was surprised when he touched her arm, and felt the strangest sensation. "My brother.."

He shook his head, "I speak of not one daughter but of two. One of which has children of her own. I fear that in time my grandchildren will learn that there grandfather took lives for the hell of it." He let his gaze fall to hers and smiled breifly, "Then it is somethign we shall have to do together. But I warn you, after this, I may not be so accomodating. Your brother may not know what he is getting himself into."

She smiled instantly, at the talk of grandchildren. "They much like your daughters will be the same. Except, they will most likely overook such a detail. I've seen it in many of grandchildren of our peoples. Then you also have two daughters to call your own." She looked down, then back up. "He is aware, my brother is the calmest of all creatures, and when he becomes agitated, angered such as this, well I fear for my people as well." She looked to him somewhat sadly, until she heard a knock at the door. It was her Leneca, and of course she couldnt know of Arioch, so she answered her daughter's question quickly. "No Leneca, I am well, I would advise you to retire to your room, my Dearest Selde." Leneca said something else, and she laughed briefly, as her daughter's footsteps disappeared.

He shrugged, "One will only know in time, assuming I stick around much longer." He looked down at her and sighed, ''I am sorry for the trouble I have caused, and for the life of your people. It was impulse and I like your brother is now was angry. But I sense something else right now, somethign that I have never sensed before. Farinele draws closer to your home, she too is angry, but afraid as well." HE looked perplexed and then looked breifly at the door trying to see who it was. He looked at her, "I assume that is one of yours."
