She watched Selena, "Selena, wai-..." She was cut off with her abrupt departure and she sighed, leaning further back against the chair. She looked towards the bar and spoke loudly. "A bottle of Brandy please." She sighed once again, noticing the Nymph staring at her. She wasnt really annoyed, just curious as to why she kept looking at her. "Care to join me?" She motioned to the free chair infront of her.

Embarrassed, she stood up, taking her drink with her, and she slid into the seat the other women had just left from. "Sorry, I couldn't help but notice you two." she said quietly. She pulls her hood back and sees that the woman doesn't seem annoyed, to her own relief.

She moved aside watching the barmaid deliver the bottle of Brandy. She unscrewed the top and poured herself a glasss of it, drinking as much as she could in one gulp, then put it down. "Why so curious? Surely you've seen to females conversing before? Or is it that females choose not to acknowledge you because you're a Nymph?"

She blushed slightly. "Nice to see that you've noticed. Yes, most females avoid me because I am a nymph. My curiosity...I can not explain." she says. She takes another swig of her drink and starts to feel her body slowly relax enough for her to be comfortable. "Not to seem... rude or anything, but I notice that you aren't a human, are you?" she added after a few moments.

She took another long gulp from the glass. "Yes, females can be such fickle things." She chuckled softly. "But the Males of course are another story." She slid the bottle further away from her. "You're correct, I am not human. But my own curiosity is aroused. Why would you come to this place? Surely you must have known you would arouse the sight of males when you entered through the doors."

"Oh and do I know just about every aspect of a man... inside and out." She murmured, almost with an acid-like tone in her voice. She nodded slightly though. "That's a curse that I was born with and I learn to deal with. Granted, it does have it's ups along with it's downs. I came in here so that I could just have a drink and try to forget that. You surely have noticed that none of the men in here have come up to me though. That's because they know better." she said with a small, mysterious smile touching her lips.

She laughed. "I believe there are ups and downs no matter what you are, but your beauty does give you things many would not gain without much luck." She sensed the eyes of a few males and she turned to them given them a somewhat vicious stare, watching as they hung their head low. "I'm sure you've set them straight, which is how it should be..." She finished the contents of her glass. "The male species believe they can do as they please and get away with it. Hardly." She chortled. "I begin to understand why Selena uses men like they're nothing."

She merely nodded, surprised at herself for being so open. "Do you believe in a thing called love? Perhaps that is why men believe that they can push women around. I have no heart to love with so I don't have to worry about it." she said with both pain and amusement in her eyes. She hesitated a moment and then took another swig of her drink.

She watched her silently for a few moments. "Yes I do believe in love, but I also believe it is a rare occurance. But love is not always a factor when men do certain things. They do it for power and to feel superior. But why do you say you have no heart to love? I believe everyone has a heart to love, even demons and vampires."

She scoffed bitterly. "If you tell a man you love him, he'll just throw your heart away the moment he can. I learned that lesson the hard way." She said. She rubbed her temples gently with her fingertips. She signaled for the bartender and she quickly got another drink delivered by a waitress. "Who was the woman that you were sitting with earlier, out of curiosity." she asked after the waitress was gone.

"Ah, now I understand." She put her elbow on the table and played with the empty glass, sliding it on her fingers. "That was my sister." She gave a sigh, wishing she had stayed instead of leaving so suddenly. She could guess why she'd left like that, but at this point it was mere speculation.

"Ah..." She said softly. She drank some of her drink and glanced around. She noticed a couple new faces and particularly noticed one taking intrest in the woman in front of her. She tried to get a better look at the person but couldn't so she diverted her gaze back onto the woman in front of her. "You're lucky to have a sister." she said, trying to think of something to say.

She laughed. "In some ways I am, and in others I'm not. As is with most things." She looked up. "I am Selene Vosegus, by the way. I just realized I have not introduced myself. Do you reside here? Or are you just a traveler?"

"Ivy Brooke. I am staying here for now. Until I find some place else to go. That's the way it's always been with me." She said, with a small smile. She takes another swig of her drink and begins to feel her head swim slightly.

"Please Ivy." She took the bottle and drank from it directly. "It seems to be an interesting town. You might find quite a few revelations during your stay. Mind you, I myself ave just arrived not more than 1 1/2 weeks ago."
