He threw another rock out, and played with a blade of grass. The day had become somewhat dreary for him, even if the sun shone brightly. He was in a state of confusion. More due to his sadness, a sadness that was irrelevant because he could not bring either of them back. He sighed and laid back, shutting his eyes, as thoughts of kissing Farinele, fluttered into his head and he grinned widely.

She was deep in thought, sorting out her feelings for Earnur, and thinking of the conversation with her father. He had agreed to let her live her life the way she felt right. He told her that it was not his place to tell her who to love. But he did not like the way Earnur had told her of his feelings for her. She had jsut laughed and shook her head when he had said that and left. He was being stupid, if a man had enough courage to say those words in front of a womans father she knew he was either sincere or extremly dumb. She kept walkign not noticing where she was going. Then next thing she knew she was on the ground. She had tripped over something and she looked up to see what it was.

He started laughing, for no real reason, but he was enjoying himself. He couldnt stop thinking about his beloved, and it just made him happy, and somewhat sad, beause he knew it had actually begun, he had finally moved on. He looked at a random spot and next thing he knew something had kicked him in his leg, and fallen on him. He blinked, and then a huge grin broke out on his lips. "It is a true shame you cannot always trip an entrance on me, Farinele." He chuckled.

She blushed and started to get up, "I'm sorry Earnur. But had I known you were here I would have fallen directly on you." She smiled and moved from where she was, to a spot in front of him. "How have you been since our last meeting? Did you speak with your sister?"

He chuckled. "Either way, I would not have minded much." He kept his smile and his eyes locked on her and nodded. "Yes, I managed to speak with her. I hope if you spoke with your father things faired well."

She laughed and blushed slightly, "I'm glad you were able to speak with her. As for my father..." She sighed inwardly, "Yes We spoke and he has agreed to let me love who I seem fit. He was more annoyed with the way you told me than anything. I think somethign else is bothering him as well. I saw him walking around and just smiling for no good reason. He was in a hurry to return to the Palace as well. Seemed to eager to return to being a bodyguard." She eyed him a moment then spoke, "Why were you so angry with him anyway?"

"I'm glad as well." He laughed a bit, and listened to her and shook his head, he could only attibute her father's attitude to the same thing that was ailing his sister. She was very cheerful, and would even turn red in the cheeks at the oddest times, he didnt mention it, but he could assume, and his assumptions were probably right. He looked to her and smiled briefly, but it faded. "He went into our territory and killed many many elves, many of them members of our guard." He frowned. "They were friends, and comrads whom I fought beside many times."

She looked at him in shock, she knew her father had been upset about Ceresa's death, but she had no idea it had been that bad. She looked at him in sadness, she did not like it when anythign died. It always saddened her. "I'm so sorry that he did such a thing. I can attribute it to my mothers death and his greif but it is no excuse for it. I'm sorry for the loss of your friends."

He gave a nod, there was nothing else he could do to bring his friends back, and he tried to forget the details of that day. "They're now in the Valinor living peaceful lives." He looked at her, seeing her look of shock. "We all grieve differently it seems. But I will say this, he puts up a hell of a fight."

She looked at him a moment as he spoke and could sense that it was a sore spot for him. "What is the Valinor? I'm guessing that each creature has a place to go when they die." She smiled slightly, "He was a revered warrior in Heaven. Only two people matched his skill, and they were my sister and Xarkic."

He shook his head. "The Valinor is our truest home. When Elves die our spirits are meant to reside in our Valinor, in our true home. The Valinor is the place where the most ancient of our kind reside. Though we have always been here, Elves existed even before other life begun to appear into the world. In someways we are as old as your kinds. The Valinor is the final resting spot for us all whether dead or alive. Those who wish to reside among our kind for the rest of their days travel to it. Mine and Ireth's parents reside there, among the other elders of our kind. They are, put simply, the Gods in our Elven Heritage. The place is very much real, but the trip to it is very difficult and long. It is said that in about 10,000 years time every member of our kind will be called back to the Valinor, in order to let the other creatures rule without our aid. In someways, we will be leaving to allow others to let their strongest creatures take over as they should." He looked to her. "We have history that is very old, and much of it is hidden to all except our kind. Have you never wondered why you've never seen an elf before? Or why we do not heed or even run our lives by the words of any others? Or even your God?" He moved his hand to put a piece of hair away from her face. "I can see how Yarizel is one of the more ruthless fighters. And it explains where she attained it, if your father is known as such a fighter."

She listened to him intently and with interest. She wanted to know as much about his people and himself as was possible."Can people return from the Valinor?" She frowened thinking of when he would be called away, "Every elf? What if they do not want to go? Or if other people didnt want them to go? IS it required of them?" She nodded, "I have wondered. Since the day i met you beside the Bay I have wondered why in all my years I had never seen an Elven. As for everythign else, I assume becuase you are so old, you have your own laws and beliefs. and my God..Well he is not my God anymore. I live by my own rules now and do not answer to him." She smiled at him when she felt his hand and absentmindedly grabbed it and held it to her face, "She did not only attain teh skill from him, we both had a wonderful teacher. Our mother in every sense of the word except for her actually having us."

He smiled. "I hope to one day meet the woman who raised such a beautiful and strong woman." He pulled his hand away and grabbed hers kissing it, softly. "Only in the most extreme of cases may any return from the Valinor. But other than that it is impossible to return. Though every elf might be called to return, we are not forced to return if we do not wish it. In which case we may lose our immortalities.." He looked to her. "When an elf falls for a human, they are either forced to give up their love for them or become like them. In our history only two elves gave the immortality to live as mortals, and they are revered in our stories and songs. But I do not know how it goes in all honesty. I do wonder if the Valar would take away the immortality of those who wish to remain." He looked at her. "Your God, interesting concept. He did not exist at the very beginning."

She blushed and giggled slightly, she was not used to such compliments, "Maybe one day you will." She watched him kiss her hand and wanted nothign more to just feel them upon her lips again. She looked away to hide her thoughts as she listened to him. "When you loose your immortality you become human, which means your life would end quickly doesnt it?" She looked back at him, "Does that go for other creatures as well?" She did not want herself to fall for him if it ment that in time he would leave her or have to give up his immortality for her. "It msut have been a pure love for that to happen. But if I were to have to face a decision like that I would be torn. Thank goodness I do not face that decision But what would you do? And what is the Valar?" She laughed, 'I am not surprised at all that he came after exsistance. It makes me wonder where and when he came and how he gained so much power."

"Yes, you become mortal." He nodded, and looked up as the stars began to fill the sky. He moved and without a second thought, wrapped his arms around her, he smled briefly, the stars twinkled, and for an instance he remembered a moment in his childhood. "It does not go for other immortal creatures, though you would be shunned. Our people have moved from that mindset long ago, but there are still other elves who reside and believe we should only be with our own kinds." He closed his eyes, smelling her hair. "But those Elves are those from the very beginning from those who awoke during the time of Cuiviénen." He opened his eyes and nodded. "The Valar are what we call the very first beings to exist. They are spirits who created balance onto the world when only chaos surrounded it. There are 15 Valar, most are elves but there are others. They crushed that wished only sought to bring evil and discourse into the world and created balance for our people. The Valar are Gods. They all live, though some are not aware of what they are, for time does have it's affects. The Elves had at least 7 awakenings. It is a long story."
