He sat on a rock beside the waterfall. Not sure of how he got there. But he didn't care either. He was ready to get over his little depression. But it wasn't happenign for him. Everytime he started to move on, something would remind him of Ceresa. Or something they were suppose to do together would come up. He hated it. He still went around killing things just to see if she would appear and bring it back to life again. He sighed and threw a rock into the water and watched the ripples.

"Neca, go now, Earnur shall be angry if you do not meet up with him, as you both discussed." She watched her daughter bow and hurry off. She laughed briefly and shook her head, remembering how she had acted at that age. Neca reminded her of herself for the exception of the coddling, though that was coming to an end, and she was now going out and exploring more. She looked looked at the great tree beside the waterfall, and looked down at her hand. She held her husbands guard pendant and chain. Though only Earnur knew of her husbands heritage, she had met and fell in love with him, when he was in the guard, training. She smiled briefly, thinking of their first meeting, and watched the pendant shine. She held it high, and watched the pendant glimmer, shine, and even blink like a star. She looked towards the water, and saw the outlines of another figure among the ripples of the water, and looked up immediately to see who it was.

He saw the flashes of light that reflected off the pendent then ultimately off the water. He looked up and smiled breifly seeing it was the Elven Queen. He didnt move or make any effort to speak with her. After what he did to her people he did not expect her to even wish to see him. So he stood slowly and brushed the dirt from what had once been his 'uniform' when he was the Angel of death. He nodded to her then turned.

She had moved now, coming closer. She always did the same when she found herself in the company of her people. She stopped, realizing who it was, and smiled briefly, returning his nod. When he turned she wondered if she was imposing on him. She pocketed the pendant, and stood in her spot. "If you wish to remain alone, Mellon, speak now and I shall go."

He turned back around and smiled breifly, "No, I thought that I was trespassing on your territory." He looked around a moment then looked back to her, "How have you been Ireth?" He wasn't sure of what he should say to her. He did not want to be alone, but he did as well. He was torn between her presence and the presence of Ceresa that still lingered with him.

She shook her head. "It is not my territory. It is the territory of my people, and those who tred within, with no thought of causing mayhem, or anymore of it." She wandered over to him, coming within inches of him, she pulled the skirt of her dress up, and placed her feet in the water, turning to Arioch. "I wish to say, I am well, but worry has begun to stir within me. And of yourself, Arioch?"

He inclined his head, "Yet it still belongs to your kind. I do not beling here at all." He watched her fascinated then made his way back to the rock he had just been occupying. "I am much the same, but doing much better." He studied her a moment then spoke again, "If you dont mind my asking, what is it that has you worrying?"

"I hope your progress keeps showing results, Mellon." She watched him silently, and then looked at the water, seeing his shadow dancing on the surface of the water. "There is an insurgency of sorts within the city. A rebel group, who has been attacking city for sometime now, as I've come to understand. They've calmed down, but it is understood that they shall strike again, though we've no time or place." She turned staring at him, though she tried to look at the ground around his feet, to not bring attention to herself.

He nodded, "As do I." He watched her not hiding his intrest or his concern for her. He could feel the worry radiating off of her. He stood and walked towards her, 'What is it that you shall do about it Ireth? Your their Queen, it's obvious they are trying for your attention." He wanted to reach out and reassure her, but something was holding him back.

She watched him as he wandered over to her, and looked up to him, almost as a child would do to something that interested them greatly. "I have my guard who are investigating, and questioning any whom they feel might have information. We've captured a few but they've refused to answer any of our questions. I'm afraid I will have to exile them or condemn them. But what interests me most is the fact that my daughter had not mentioned any of this, on my return not so long ago." She kicked her feet in the water. "I shall not let any other innocents die. I would die for my people and their protection. I cherish each of them, even those whom have caused such mayhem, and may have taken the life of my brother."

He looked down at her, "And do you think your guard will find anythign out before the next attack? As for your daughter, she probably did not wish to worry you with somethign she thought would die down." He watched her a moment and suddenly wanted to know her more. He thought for a moment of the lives of her people that he had taken and then a thought came to him and he smild. "I offer myself to you Ireth. I can protect you and your family. And even possibly go into your city undetected and find out who is causing this mayhem."

"Maybe, but if from the time she has ruled in my steed these attacks have occured she should have sent word for me. I would have returned from the undying lands of my peoples, to aid her. The last I wish is for my eldest daughter to perish." She listened silently, and almost found herself choking when she heard his offer. She brought he feet from the water, and stood slowly letting her dress fall down. She was now mere inches from him, and he smelt quite good which was causing much confusion to her. "Are you offering yourself as our bodyguard?" She smiled slightly. "One could interpret that offer in different ways, mellon."

"Maybe she thought she could handle it. On emust know that a child of there blood will always wish to handle things without disturbing there parents. She probably only wished to make you proud and show that she could handle it." He watched her and then smiled leaning hsi head close to hers, "As a bodyguard yes. As for the other interpretation..." He thought a moment of what he was doing and looked over Ireth's shoulder. And for a moment he saw Ceresa standing there smiling. He saw her wave her hand and blow him a kiss, mouthing to him, I Love you, but its time to move on. He looked back down at her and smiled, "Interpret it as you wish."

"That is no reason....not when you endanger the lives of others." She sighed, and turned her head a moment. "She resents me for what I have done, but she is but a child who does not listen and does not care to truly listen to reasons. She is as stubborn as her father once was." She laughed a bit, turning back to him. "I do not know. Becoming our bodyguard would entail you to be near us constantly, and I do not think that might bode well with your granchildren." She remembered him speak of his grandchildren and how much he cared for them.

He looked at her a moment and a sad smile appeared on his features, "You think she is still a child. But are you truly looking at her? I do not think your daughter is a child any longer. And she will probably continue to do things such as this to prove to you she is an adult." His smile grew more genuine and he looked her in the eye, "You will jsut have to come with me when i need to see them. I will explain to them though that I have a job that needs to be done. They will understand even if they do not like it."
