And so life had finally begun. No longer were the days bittersweet with the taste of foulness in the air. No longer was anxiety and nervousness the first feelings she felt when she got up in the morning. And no longer did she fear for the inevitable as it had happened. Oh, she hadn't changed yet but she no longer had to fear the title or the thoughts of what needed to be done. What was done was done and now she could live as freely as she could. She knew she still had to be careful but now everything was a little brighter. Acceptance was a powerful thing and she blessed the gods everyday that she had been able to know it for herself of her own freewill.
She walked along the road after the brief trip with Loth and the handling of those creatures. It hadn't been hard to help him not when they had been attacked before they could even say or do anything. It was justified and it made her feel a little better even if she did not admit it freely. Now she was on a brief excursion of exploration. She had a life to start living, of course, inbetween the battles for her life and the uncovering of a heinous and dangerous conspiracy. As she turned a corner she came to stop in front of a shoppe just eyeing the sign before moving along. There wasn't much to do save look, listen, and discover and she would do that happily. The further she walked the further she disappeared from the human section of the town and towards the outskirts of the ever growing populace. The people seemed to prosper even in these harsh times of plague and death and there was something to be said of that.
As her feet slowed down she gazed out towards the landscape before her and several large stones placed curiously about the grass. She could smell the stink of death and corruption and knew instantly that the place was filled with the souls of the dead. Even so, she trekked forward hoping to gaze and perhaps get an answer to a question that had been burning in her head for months now. So slowly Isbeth walked towards the Barrow and wondered what it was about this place, even with all it's bloody history, that drew her to it.

"Where did you put it?" He looked to the stones one at a time and could feel the magic in them, locked away, almost dead, remnants of a time long ago. "I know it's around here somewhere. Don't make me destroy this monument to get it." Ari ran a hand through his hair and sat down at the rock furthest from the center, placing his hand on it and mumbling. He was "talking" with the ancient magic, trying to get answers out of it.

Isbeth walked slowly forward. She smiled as she heard the voice of another questioning the stones and wondered how many people here knew the real story of those stones. She didn't want to eavesdrop so she backed away a few steps to give him privacy. She too looked at the stones and wondered what secrets were hidden away in their depths. She needed answers and much like the demon, because she could feel the power, wondered if these stones could answer. She ran a hand along the stone closest to her and leaned against it. An answer was whispered to her but not of her own questions.
Speaking softly she addressed the demon mimicking much the same way a clairvoyant would as a ghost used her as it's mean to ask questions and receive answers. "The stone." She spoke softly. "It says that what you seek is within reach. To search the trees closest to the monuments." Though that didn't say much since there were several trees around them.

Ari turned and stared at this woman. She was...well, she was a sight to behold. His mind went back to the statement though. "We shall see if you speak truth." He turned to the trees and one by one they began to ignite into pyres of flames. He watched as they all burned except for one. The flames here raged on and on and the leaves were left unharmed.
"Well...that doesn't happen often." Making his way over to the tree, he flicked his hand, watching the flames disappear.

She gazed at him as he went on his rampage to find the tree. She couldn't help but wonder what he was searching for but she didn't ask. It wasn't her business. But that didn't mean she couldn't look it was the least she could do after acting as an unwilling go-between for the Demon and the Monuments. She stared as one tree was left unharmed with flames dancing around it before the Demon made it all disappear.
She gasped a little the moment she pulled her hand from the monument and furrowed her brows. That was simply odd to her but she did manage to gather the final thought before cutting her connection.
"Be careful. Something lays dormant... a guardian, powerful."

"We'll see about that." And he went right to the tree with a punch that reverberated for about a mile in sound. Some pieces of bark flew off the tree, but there it stood, mocking him. Ari stared in mild disbelief. "Fine, knock me down a few pegs. Very well. This is one of those kind of guardians." Ari stared at the tree and sat down again, silent.

She raised her eyebrow as curiosity started to get the better of her. She didn't want to question him on his business but damn. It had to be something big if he was willing to go through so much for it. She moved towards him and pulled out one of her own newly redesigned daggers. A lovely little thing a part of a set of five. "Here. Maybe this'll help you. Supposedly many guardians of magick can't withstand this sort of metal. And I'm curious as hell to see this guardian myself." She shrugged.

Ari gave this woman a smile. "Looks and weapons. You're already hot in my book lady." And then he put his attention back to the tree. Without any hesitation, the blade was thrust into the tree, piercing the wood. There was a shriek and the tree shivered with what looked like pain.
"Fascinating." And then Ari was silenced as the tree began to rumble.

Isbeth chuckled. He was easy on the eyes too but she figured he knew that already. She watched silently as he grasped the blade and did what he needed to do. It wasn't long before she saw the rumble of the tree and felt a shockwave on the ground that grew more powerful with each passing second. So it was true and now who the hell knew what they'd just angered or was about to present itself. She didn't know so she simply took a stance and readied herself for anything.
"What do you think...." It wasn't long before her query was answered. The trees trunk began to shake violently as it seemed to open up. Whatever happened next or came out next she hoped wasn't big, bad, ugly and damn hard to defeat.

He expected some huge and giant end of the world creature but then the tree opened up and it was a dwarf sized creature. It looked like a mix between an demon and some type of monkey. "Well aren't you cute!" And then Ari found himself kicked in the gut by the creature, sending him sailing through the air about five hundred feet when he stopped himself by landing against a huge rock.
The rock cracked and crumbled from the force.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." It looked harmless but. And before long she saw the Demon flying in the sky because the cute little demonic monkey had kicked him pretty hard in the gut. "Well. It's a hell of a way to psych someone out." Isbeth stood her ground as the little demon monkey came towards her gazing at her as if questioning his next move. "Woah there. I have no qualms with you little guy." The monkey stared at her and moved around her before stopping infront of her. It made a sound and then it smiled. It was a sickening little smile, one of those smiles that you saw before someone did something.
The monkey raised it's hand and sent a gust of ancient magick towards her. She placed her elbows infront of her to block her face even as her body was propelled backwards by the power of that little creature.

Ari stood up and watched as the little creature attacked the woman. Growling, his body changed immediately. He took on his demonic form, which was a jet black, with piercing red eyes and about a 20 foot scaly wingspan. His cry went out into the air and the little creature engaged him in battle. He was a strong little thing, Ari had to admit. They exchanged punch after punch until Ari had to pause just for a second as he stared down the little guardian.

Before Isbeth could do anything else the Demon attacked the guardian. The creature moved with surprising quickness and sent a volley of attacks towards him. Isbeth merely stood just waiting for a chance to attack but it seemed, strangely enough and at least for the moment, the creature and the Demon were evenly matched even with the transformation that occurred. She looked on finding this all rather intriguing until the demon stopped and the creature and he just stared at each other.
Seeing a chance to do some damage she hurried towards the two being very careful to keep her aura unnoticeable and went right for the creature. She sent one of her newly crafted daggers right at the creatures midsection and mumbled something. A divine light suddenly emerged from the sky and a powerful bolt of lightning struck down towards the creature. Isbeth quickly moved towards the Demon and pulled him back away from the attack just to be on the safe side.

Arilios watched as the Fallen attacked the little creature and he also felt her pull him back. He wasn't sure why she would want to ensure his protection, but so long as she was giving him that kind of respect, he would make sure she didn't die to the best of his ability.
Arilios turned her around and saw that the creature looked a little worse for wear. It was definitely bleeding. "Together. Go." And he was off towards the creature in the blink of an eye, pounding his fists against the blocks and body of the creature.

She nodded and brought out the twin to the dagger she currently held in her hands. She moved forward as quickly as she could and went right for the little monkey creature. She lunged the steel of the blades against the creatures stomach and pulled them back quickly before sending a kick right into the little guy's guts. He took to the air and so did she. In a display of speed she grabbed him before he got any further, swung him around over her head and threw him towards the Demon to do as he willed.
