She took it from his hand and looked at it, placing the chain over her neck. "Thank you. It truly means a lot to me." She nodded. "I agree, but theives are multiplying all throughout the areas quickly. Is there anyway I can do to thank you Mr.....? Unfortunately I dont know your name."

"Taninide, Orenar Taninide." He nodded and then figured she already knew his name, especially in this town and many others in a very large radius, but there were always some who didn't."I do not expect anything from you, well, whoever you are demoness."

"Thank you, Mr. Taninide." She was always taught to call those she just met by their last names a trait that she still held. She wasnt as uncivilized as some of the others around the area. "The infamous Orenar Taninide." A small smile hinted at her features. "Regardles, I will thank you in some form. And I'm Larentia Vespal."

"Larentia. Very pretty name for a demoness, Larentia. What with the masculine names given to some of the children, including the daughters of our kind. Call me Orenar or Taninide, subtract the Mr. junk. It's quite annoying." He noticed her smile when she spoke his name.

"Thank you. I would like to think my parents decided not to play a horrid joke on me, in regards to name." She nodded. "Way too many, almost like their parents hated them from the moment they were born so they decided to get back at them. Alright then, Orenar it is." She looked at him, he was really as handsome as she'd heard a few demoness' mention before.

"Not my mother, though, she learned to dislike me as I grew older." he nodded and then sat back down, studying her, her aura, exploring what he thought she was capable of as a demoness."Yes, well, you must be happy your parents liked you, or they thought they would like you and thus gave you a nice name."

She moved over as a cart passed by her, and moved slightly closer to him. "It's an unfortunate disease that runs amuck in our kind. But your name is a symbol of strength and terror in some parts, so you lucked out as well." She heard, yet another cart move by and yet again she moved closer, this time, getting a brief whiff of his scent.

"Yes, which reminds me, I need to go back out for awhile soon and keep that going. Losing power and influence is not a good thing. Remember that." He nodded and watched her with interest."Though, the next generation is close enough to keep it going strong."

"It depends. Some influence is better off lost. Especially the influences that deal with the not so bright members of this society. Even if they hadnt heard of someone's reputation they would be scared because it's in their nature. It's how they were bred to be." She lowered her head and stared at him from under the mound of hair that flew onto her face.

"What are you looking at?" He looked down as she lowered her head and saw nothing but dirt."Well, ok?" He shrugged and then shook his head."Don't bow your head on my account, I'm not that mean, though sometimes I'm known to be."

"I dont bow my head because you're mean. I'm just getting a better view of the scenery." She pointed behind him, a puma had just walked out from the woods, although she was really only looking at him. "I'm looking at the large cat behind you."

"Oh?" he turned and then watched the cat for several seconds and then turned back around."Not one of my favorites, but still very nice and powerful creature." He actually smiled and then replaced it with an unreadable gaze.

"They are. Although they're best as colored black. Nothing represents mood or power like a Panther." She caught a very brief glimpse of his smile, and pulled her hair behind her ears. "Would you have any objections to a quick lunch? Mostly, as my thanks for your help."

"Lunch huh?" He thought that over for awhile, and figured there was nothing wrong in his getting a free lunch from this demoness."Yes, then, I shall accept your offer of lunch in return for what I did, though, like I said, there didn't have to be anything owed."

"I know, but I wanted a way to thank you. The locket means a lot to me. I'd have given away all of my belongings to get it back." She extended her hand out to him to help him up. She smiled briefly.
