A gentle breeze blew upon the grounds of the castle. In the midst, a figure appeared, seeming to have have used the wind to travel. They looked upon the ancient structure, while shifting their head. As they did so, the moon rose and emanated a bright light, which fell down upon the creature. It was a woman that stood there, with long brown hair, and dark ebon eyes. She stepped forward, only to step back again, her eyes widening as she spoke to herself. "That fool was right. There is an energy field around it, fucking vampires..."

He had been traveling a whole day already. choosing to trek on foot rather than any other way that might draw attention to him. Only twenty feet away, he saw the castle, and praised whoever it was that hit him with this great fortune so he could rest. Getting closer, he noticed a woman there, and wondered why she wasn't entering, and then noticed as he got nearer, that around the castle was a protective shield. Sighing, he kept his eyes now on the woman's back, making sure that the crossbow that was strapped to his right arm was ready for action. Looking at the poison-tipped arrow that was already loaded, he crept his way closer, knowing that by now, whoever it was, if not human, they would sense him way before he got directly behind them.

She shifted her head slightly, so it seemed that she was looking behind her, when she wasnt. She'd sense a creature a good bit away, and wondered if it was one of the disgusting vampire creatures from town. She stood, undaunting, not afraid if this creature was here to do bad against her. She spoke, her voice hinting with an angelic melody, yet as cold as the night air. "The castle's protected, there is no way to get in. And for those who reside inside, no way to get out." She turned her head again, and looked at the grand architecture before her. She needed to get inside, it was crucial for her to enter. But knowing that she'd never be able to pass through the protective 'spell' her plans had shifted, and she knew what she needed to do.

"I know that. It's everywhere, but everything has a weak spot. Everything." He had made his way beside her, looking up at the castle, noting the detail in the design of the gargoyls perched atop the towers. He kept his left hand ready on his dagger, somewhat recognizing the voice, still choosing to inspect the shield rather than pay any mind to whatever was near him.

She laughed softly, bringing her slenders fingers to move around her neck, slowly. "You may try, but these Vampires were crafty for once." She turned around and walked to the piece of open land which the moon was shining onto now. She let the brightness of the moon hit her skin. The she shut her eyes, and a wind appeared around her body, it blew everything, her clothes, her cloak, and even her hair. It enveloped her completely as she was slowly lifted from the ground. Slowly, she went higher, but no more than at least two feet. Then the wind around her began to slowly die down and she descended upon the earth, her feet touching it, with not even as much as a "thud." She opened her eyes, and looked upward. The joys of knowing the truths of the world, and of living creatures. The joys of having been once an angel. And yes, even the joys of having become fallen, and gain new powers and insights, into the world you once knew differently.

"Crafty if only for a minute. They aren't superior to any degree." He felt the wind blow his cloak about, feeling the coolness of it against his face. Enjoying it, he ran his finger against the shield and pulled a way, his finger a deep red now, burnt. Turning around, he looked to the woman, her face hidden by her hair. "Why are you here?"

"No, not for a minute. The barrier created is too strong. And it's not because they used their own magic." She shifted her head, somewhat. "My reason for being here does not concern you." She felt a strong aura in him, one she'd encountered before. She closed her eyes, prying herself into his thoughts but only skimming the surface, only skimming what was on his mind right now. She readily opened them, a smile adorning her face. "How long has it been? 200? or 300 years, Cerberus?"

He frowned slightly, annoyed at the fact he felt a presence deeper inside of him than he cared for and looked to the woman closely. "How did you know my name?" Moving closer, he chanced pushing her hair out of the way and then actually gave her a smile. "Yarizel?" He looked at her, passion in his eyes. He remembered her now. "More than I remember Yarizel, but not enough to make me remember that I dislike you looking into my head."

She laughed, gazing deeply into his eyes. She took her hand and skimmed her finger across his face, softly. "You're not the only one who dislikes me doing such a thing, my Dear Cerberus. But it is a gift still bestowed upon me, and one which I use to gain what I want." She pulled her hand away. "What brings you to this God Forsaken town? Here to soil your wilde oates with the countless Succubi, my dear? Or is it something more pressing?"

"An old friend of mine Yarizel. I have no reason for getting with whatever dumb succubi are here." He ran his hand along her arms, wrapping his arms about her waist. "What about you? Meet anyone special, or is he in this castle?"

She roared with laughter, bringing her arms around his neck. "My Dearest, you know little of me. You must surely know, that I'd never lay with any creature as disgusting as a vampire, or most, if not all, creatures for that matter. Only those worthy of me have the pleasure of my company, and in the meantime, that's only been a handful." She pulled away from him. "Besides, my dear, I've had more pressing business to attend to these past century or two."

"Like what Yarizel? You speak of those who deserve you, being a handful, so you must have been very busy since we last met. I'm sure you remember it well." He looked down at her and maneuvred his hands to rest comfortably on her back.

"You must think very lowly of me, my dearest Cerberus. A handful deserved me, yes, but that does not mean I gave into their desires or mine. I have a great measure of self-control." Her eyes flickered in thought, "Yes, I remember it well. I never thought I'd see the day a demon would give up their self-control, their will, and their desires to any." She placed the palm of her hand against his cheek. "Tell me, have you missed me, my dear? Or have you just missed the pleasures of the flesh, which I bestowed upon you, once?"

"I will be truthful to you Yarizel, for you gave up just as much with me you know. I've missed you when thoughts have gone to your being. Not just for one feeling, but for all of it." He nodded and took her hand, kissing it, smiling. "I didn't give up as much as you thought, and besides, I was a lot younger then, as were you."

Her smiled broadened. "I've not denied it once, my dearest, or have I? I, too have had my thoughts stray to you, but by now I'd thought you'd have taken up a mate." She felt the warmth of his lips, against her flesh, and her mind flashed back to that time, when they were one. "We were both young, yes, but you were younger than I. For I've always existed, even before this world was created, I was there. Even before life came about, I was there." She pulled away, for a moment.
