She stopped, it was a murky, foggy and extremely dark. She wasnt surprised, it was a Swamp after all, but she had come in hopes of seeing the Phantom but nothing. She didnt want to stay at the Grotto, Rilon had gone for a bit, and she missed him. She had begun to think that she should have gone with him, but it was too late and she'd entertain herself by exploring the different spots of the town further. She bent down to find a flower growing among the darkness and picked it, looking at it, it looked like a strange and rare variety of flower as it were.

The first part of his day he had spent just hanging about with Dalon and the two had just practically ate and went to sleep for a few hours. Then they had both went off to the Stupor, and now, in a weird series of events, he was actually floating above the ground, fists flying, and fighting what appeared to look like a roughly-human shaped shadow.

She twirled it in her fingers, and put it in her hair, it was pretty and she liked it, maybe she could even make it last forever, but who really knew. She turned whe nshe sensed Regulus and raised an eyebrow when she saw him fight what seemed to be a appiration and wondered if it was the Phantom. She remained silent, wondering who would win from this little bout.

Growling, he swung at it, nothing happening. His punches did nothing, not even his fireballs. He sensed his mother nearby and managed to look away for a second and then continued moving back away from the shadow."I can't fight the thing!"

She looked up to him. "Reg, it's because it's a Phantom. You cant fight it, it's basically fighting thin air. You may be strong, but even you have your limits." She watched them. "Just leave it for another day, I'm sure you'll find a way, but right now it's a losing battle."

"You don't understand, it's following me." He continued moving, really finally realizing he wasn't walking on the ground. Thanks to that horrendous thick fog. He turned and felt the ground on his feet and backed away to his mother and stood there, the shadow swirling around him slowly."See, it's not going anywhere."

She heard a thud and looked at him, thenwatched him come towards her as well as the Phantom. She thought fo a bit, and looked around, then noticed the scythe. "Regulus, I think it's time for us to go." She grabbed his arm and started walking away. "He cant follow us out of the Swamp."

"he's been following me the whole time and though I've been swinging away at him, he hasn't done a thing to me." He looked back and noticed the shadow was still following and noticed the scythe there as well.

"Right, but supposedly he cant leave the Swamp or he'll fade forever or something like that." She could see it take a swing with the scythe. "....Unless..." She remembered seeing some strange writings on the ground in another part of the swamp. "I might have an idea of how you can fight him, I mean really fight him. Follow me." She started running inbetween the trees.

He thought some and then eyed her, nodded, and followed. The shadow was still right on his back, practically right against him."What if he traveled out INSIDE of me?" He smiled playfully. He knew she'd never have it.

"Dont start, Regulus. It's not funny." She turned and shot him a glare. "And if he traveled right from Inside of you, trust me, you'll regret it." She smiled sheepishly, brushing some branches from her path and hurried until she knew she was deep enough in the swamp. She started scrambling around, just looking, hoping she'd find it again. It was there so she moved to another spot, it wasnt there either, and then she saw it. Like they said, third try is a charm and she could see it. There were some ancient runes on the ground, they were symbols. "Regulus, step inside that circle of runes. I think it might materialize the Phantom into a human form."

"Why do I have to step inside?" He frowned slightly and then looked to Circe, and then to the shadow, and then he cautiously stepped inside, but so did the shadow. He frowned and then tried stepping out, but a light grey field surrounded both of him and his little friend of sorts and he winced as a thick smoke made him disappear, and now, there were two shadows instead of one. Regulus was nowhere to be seen.

She watched hoping it worked. But it didnt bode like she wanted. She saw the smoke and but her lower lip. She might have just sent her own son to death, or even worse. "Regulus!!" She came close to the runes, trying to get inside but it wouldnt left her and she banged. "REGULUS!"

The field went down and the two shadows darted out quickly. Regulus felt strange, he saw his mother, he saw the shadow, but this time, it was more distinct, and it he could see a face, but it was faint. Darting towards it, he felt himself intertwine with the other shadow and the feeling was strange, but he felt himself winning, and then finally the shadow died down, literally disintegrated, but Regulus still felt a part of it in him. Now, the challenge, turning back. Moving towards Circe, he hoped some type of motherly instinct or the fact that he was willing himself to be sensed by her would alert her to the current situation.

She looked around, the field around the markings disappeared but she could not see much of anything. She moved, to come to where the light would hit better and she could see to Phantoms, two shadows fight. And she gasped. She couldnt see Regulus...but then she realized...that it might have had opposite consequences than what she thought. The fighting stopped and only one apparation remained. "Regulus?..." Then she sensed him. "Regulus...I'm sorry..."
