Chains clinked against each other against jet black clothes. Boots hit the dirt with a soft crunch of rocks. A cloak billowed against the wind violently and sword swung slowly back and forth, attached along a rough hide belt, wrapped around dark black pants below a long sleeve shirt which was also black. Contrasting greatly would be the gleaming armor along his left arm, almost white, translucent, rivalling against the overall darkness of his clothes. A sliver of light fell upon him as the sun began to rise, leaving vision to wings which spanned from his shoulders, beating rhythmically. To his left, greyish feathers moved serenely as the wind caressed each of them slowly. To his right, almost as if someone had totally changed the creature standing there stemmed a black wing, of a reptilian kind, like a dragon's wing. Shredded, black like the night sky, stained with blood. A vision of what he was descended from. A mixed being. A creature not seen for millenia. Half angel, half demon. A long time in the making, training, bloodshed, sacrfice. All had been given and now Alder stood, looking out over the Cliffs, his muscles toned, ripped, bigger than he ever was before. His eyes were still brown as ever, though hidden inside of them was a coldness, a darkness which could not yet be seen. Cracking his knuckles, he revealed several rings on his fingers, rings which held power, rings which he'd fought to the last bit of life he had within him. The demons and angels had fought him hard, and he had come out the victor. Over five thousand years had passed as he waged war against these beings, the other realms. He knew not that much time had passed here though, but that was fine with him. Looking over his shoulder, he let his wings pull inward so he wasn't so menacing looking and strange to anyone who might come by. The wings hid neatly beneath his cloak and he just decided to sit down, the wings bending to his will, becoming smaller as to not be a hassle to him. His nails grazed along the grass, dark and dirty. He was in well need of a shower, layers of dirt, sweat, and blood covering his entire body, but that was something that would also wait. He would sit awhile, allow his senses to pick everything up. The spot where he had died, Atral's last words to him and of his family. His sister and brother. His mother and father. His grandfather, and his friends. A slight smile crept along his face and then disappeared, replaced by a solemn expression.

"Perhaps, maybe if you didn't look like such a party killer you'd be able to snag a life partner Alder." He looked at his brother silently, since that was pretty much what Alder was to him now, and just shook his head."Quite a look you have going for you I must say. Mine is horribly scary if you ask me. Niessa says it looks awesome, but she would. Always was one for the gruesome stuff since she was little, what with the monsters she battled." Smiling, he just picked up one of the chains and shook his head."Niessa's not going to be too happy with you, she's going to be on her way to yell I think, so I decided to get to you first. We all tried sensing you and I don't think your family was all too happy with the up and leaving. Your letters left a lot to think about. Simply said, I don't know when I'm coming back. Not exactly, Wish you were here type material." He nodded and his nose wrinkled."You smell horrible Alder. Like you haven't bathed in ages.Wherever you went, it definitely did a number on you. I can sense the power." And indeed he could sense the power and it was strong, really strong. He wasn't sure if it was stronger than his but he didn't think so, but it always could be and better not to chance that of course. "How have you been then? What did you do?"

"Hello Rionos." He smiled because he couldn't help it. As changed as he might be and look, he still couldn't help but smile when his friend reacted."I was gone for quite a long time. Where I was, not here of course because it's roughly been about a week or two, not very long I don't think. Let them think what they will, we don't know if she will yell or not. I hope not, because I don't care to hear someone yelling at me." He nodded and just eyed his clothes and then took a deep whiff of himself."Yes, I suppose I smell. If that's the case, I will go with you to the Tower and take a shower there if you don't mind." He nodded and just faded away before Rionos said anything.

"Bossy aren't we! Alder!" He watched as the man faded and just rolled his eyes."Just as weird as he was before." He sensed the tone of authority though in Alder's voice and just wondered what exactly had happened to him and knew as soon as the smelly guy took a shower he'd find out all about it."I hope mom doesn't freak that I'm bringing you into the house. It's bad enough I can smell bad when I want to, but you, you're a whole different level of stink." He shook his head, laughed and faded away to the Tower.
