She stood with her back to the trees. Her eyes gazing over the large expanse of water in front of her. She had traveled for years among years searching for this view. A view she had seen in a dream many many years ago. And now she found it. Why she had dreams of this place or why she was here was beyond her. She didn't know the answer to that question. And she wasn't sure if she ever would. But she knew this was were she needed to be. She could feel others of her kind close by. But yet they seemed different. She was a Wood Elf and they weren't. It felt strange. She couldn't just walk into the Elven Village here. It was not part of her up bringing. She was content with the woods for now. Until she felt she could go into the village. But for now she was studying the water and the cliffs surrounding it. It was all so beautiful to her. She closed her eyes and let the wind wash over her as memories of her dream began to fill her head.

Pouncing, he swung from one tree branch, and landed on a large outcrop of rocks. Squatting, he grunted, slipping a bloody dagger into his back pocket. His nose scrunched up to the air, the hair on the back of his neck stood on edge as he sensed one of the men who were after him coming closer and closer. He'd wait here if he had to, he wasn't a coward, and he refused to let this one get away. On all fours, still in his normal, human looking form, Phineas went around the rocks and hid behind some bushes, his nose still curiously surveying his surroundings.

She was standing on the edge of the bay her hair flowing all around her. The water kissing the tips of her toes. Her eyes were locked with something in the distance. A figure walking towards her over the water. The figure drew closer and she realized it was her mother. Tears streamed down her face as she stared upon the image. "Mother?" The image nodded and began speaking. Telling her that her time for life was now. "Don not worry about revenge because of our people's deaths. It was what was planned for us all along. Live your Life Katiyana. Live for us and when it is time for you to come to us in The Valor you will know." She stared at her mother, "But revenge is what is needed." "Do not worry about it now. In time you will know what is right." THe figure started backing off and soon disappeared. Katiyana's eyes opened and they were filled with tears. She didn't want to live while her people had died. She wanted revenge on the people.

Being a part of the Lycan army, Phineas was only rivaled in skill by his brothers and father. His most prized skill was stealth. Slipping in and out of some more bushes, he smelled an Elf. The scent was unique, and it wasn't of an elf from around these parts, he knew that much. Now, back to the man who was hunting him. A twig snapped and Phineas sprang into action, pouncing at the mixed creature, dagger slipping out of his back pocket, across the neck, and back into his pocket. The man fell to the ground and Phineas stood five feet away, done with his job. Moving away from the now decaying body, Phineas walked through some shrubs and found the elf. A woman, attractive, slender, and probably very acrobatic by the looks of it. As far as he was concerned, she wasn't a threat, so he approached her. "You're new here, so I'll warn you, that there are Poachers here in the forest. A mix of dog, human, and, and what appears to be insect." Phineas smiled. He could be nice sometimes, especially after a kill.

She heard the commotion behind her and her senses seemed to immediatly pick out the races. A Lycan, with what seemed a slightly kind heart, and something more malicious. Something she couldn't quite describe. A mixture of many types of creatures. She could feel the commotion and feel the kill and it didn't bother her because the world was better off without that kind of creature. What she wasn't expecting was the Lycan to come towards her and speak. She jumped slightly and turned towards the man. Her eyes still teary but nothing dramatic. She had always prided herself in the fact that she wasn't over emotional. "Yes I am new. Thank you for the warning. I will keep my witts about me while I am staying in the forest. If anything I will hunt them myself and rid the forest of the un natural creatures." She smiled because the man was kind and even though he smelt like blood he seemed nice.

"Don't do this town any favors. You keep your own protection. You don't know anyone here, why would you do them a service they will ungratefully accept?" Phineas licked the blood off his fingers and just eyed the woman. He could smell the salt from her tears and ignored it. "If you stay in the forest, you take a lot of risks, in this area. It's safer up north, a lot safer, near the Elves, your kind, but perhaps you're an outcast. Do not stay near the Lycans, unless you wish to be attacked. It is easier to go through with someone you know, name a representative on your behalf, unless you're really strong."

"I am not doing the town any favors. I am doing the forest favors. It is what I do. If no one else is grateful for it then that is on them. I know the forest will be grateful." She raised her brow slightly as he licked the blood from his hand. She smiled slightly, "The forest is my home. Any forest. I take no more of a risk here then I have anywhere else. And no I am not an outcast. I am not of their same lineage. We may look alike but we are different. I am a Forest Elf. The last of my village. The rest were all killed." She tilted her head, "You are a Lycan. What is your name? Perhaps I can use it to get by." The man seemed familiar to her. How or why was still a mystery. "Why do I get the sense that we have met before."

"They're not setting fire to the forest. So they're not harming anything in the forest, it's, as far as I have known, whoever goes inside, but perhaps they just have a warrant on me. I wouldn't be surprised, or maybe the scent. Whatever it is, there's no need for you to become the forest cop." He rolled his eyes and tilted his head. "My name? You can find out eventually. Not going to give it to you so you have a free pass. Just because I can talk to you like this doesn't mean I trust you in a whole village, especially with the power my name holds. I have never seen you in my lifetime."

"I will be the judge of what harm they are doing. The forest is a delicate place. It seems strong but it needs protection. If they are cutting down trees for fire. Then they will be warned. But from a distance. I have learned that these things can be done." She tilted her head to the side, "A warrant out for you? A fine creature like yourself? There can be nothing you have done to offend them could there?" She was teasing, something she had not done in a long time. But something about this man brought out the vixen in her. She smiled and nodded to him. "Touche Master Lycan. But in trust I will give you mine. I am Katiyana Gildin, Princess of Mirkwood. You are royalty yourself. I can sense it. But how Royal you are is slightly diluted."

"Yes, well, become the hero of the woods. Not much good it will do you, I am certain. So they cut down some trees, they are not trying to rid us of the damn thing. Simply because you are a Forest Elf, doesn't mean you have to become this entity that must protect the place at all costs. You don't even live here." He picked at his teeth. "A princess? You? You're telling me, that a woman as plain and stubborn as you is a princess? The stubborn I can understand, but I thought you Elven princesses were supposed to be sexy." He was of course, only playing along to a point. In his eyes, she wasn't ugly, but she wasn't the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen either. "I'm royalty huh? Well, yeah, sure, I'm royalty. I'm royalty enough for you, enough to know that it's a title and no one has to respect you because of it. I ain't gonna bow to you. I'd chew my foot off before I did that."

"I never said I was going to be the hero of the woods. And no I don't live here. But I have dreamt of this place. This is where I am supposed to be. Perhaps I may not take on teh active role of Forest protector. But I will not stand by and let the forest be mutilated because some idiot creatures think they can do it." She smiled, "Yes I am a Princess. And you only speak the truth. I was not ever as beautiful as the rest of my kind. But I am no ugly wench either." She laughed, "Bow to me? If anyone should be bowing it is me M'lord. I am merely a Princess of Mirkwood. You could be King of the Lycans for all I know. But I am fed up with bowing and Royal Pleasentries. So I will no more call you Sire then you will call me Your Royal Highness." This man was intriguing and pleasent if a scruffy way. He was different and appealing.

"I'm not the king. I wish, but I'm not. It's called nature for a reason though. Sometimes things must go, either the forest or the creatures, and it doesn't necessarily need you to solve it, now does it? You could provoke them to get far more violent. All for the price of a couple of trees? I've yet to see them need for fire. I don't cook my food as a Lycan and I don't see any reason they would want to cook their food either. Tastes better uncooked. The burning loses several nice flavors, but adds others. I'm more particular to the kept flavors of raw meat. My sister-in-law sees otherwise so I appease her for the sake of my family. But that's all you need to know about me right now." He nodded and just ran a hand through his hair.

"I never said you were the King. You would be much more regal I suspect. Even if it is un noticible. But I do agree. It is natural balance. But when someone comes in and starts cutting down living trees instead of dead ones then it is my buisness. I love the forest. And for the wood Elves it hurts us deeply to see it come to ruin." SHe didn't sneer her nose but smiled, "Raw fish is very good. But other meets I prefer cooked lightly. It is just how I am. It's to steralize the meat as my father once told me. And it is for ritual purposes. Sending the Animal's spirit off to the Goddess." She smiled, "That is very nice of you. Most men wouldn't care what their sister-in-laws thought."

"Well, whatever you say elf lady. The forest is a supreme good and all that other nonsense. I can be an unruly King. You don't know how a king acts. Though, there's a family of them here. Terrible people. I'm somehow connected to them, which is a nuisance at times. I'm not used to being around so many vampires, and having to remain civil. My sister-in-law gave birth to me niece and nephews, I am given no choice. Even if she was to go away from my brother, I would have to respect her as the mother and caregiver of those children. She has my loyalty simply because of the devotion she shows to my own blood. Besides, she's one of the only woman who doesn't mind rubbing my stomach while I'm a Lycan, and I must admit, it feels nice. My brother is very lucky to have her, even if she's not a Lycan."
