Ethinder and she had been walking about the gardens for the last few hours. Her ruse towards her daughter had fooled them all, on the day she performed the so called 'ceremony'. She was still somewhat torn for the fact that she had lied to her people, but also glad that her daughter would never die of the illnesses and other things that struck humans. She turned to watch Ethinder eating a plant, while it's little ears started to move. She giggled, the creature was absolutely adorable, she moved from it for a moment, and walked towards the grandest tree in the gardens, and laid her hand against it, just feeling it's life force.

He walked into the GArden. It is where he sensed her and he couldn't avoid her any longer. He was angry with himself, and with Ceresa. But he was to be honerable and he had to do what was right. Even if it ment tearing himself apart. He saw her by the tree she favored and walked towards her. His eyes had a glazed look to them and he seemed very distant, like he was not truly there. "Ireth, we have to talk."

She had bent down to pick up Ethinder when she heard Arioch's voice. She turned, a very brief smile adorning her face. She hadnt seen him for the last few days, and worried about him. She noticed his expression and frowned. "Very well...What's happened to you?" He smelt like alcohol, it wasnt a strong stench, but it was a lingering one.

He looked at her a moment, her beauty striking him like it had that first day. He looked away knowing that if he kept looking at her his mind would change. "Found out about Farinele and Earnur. Farinele and I argued, I left..." HE swallowed, "I went to my home and found my daughter's fiancee's stash of alcohol." He looked back at her, "Something terrible has happend."

She frowned, when he turned his head away, and listened to his words. "You drank because of Farinele and Earnur's marriage?" She frowned once again. "They've fallen for one another, they deserve happiness as well, Arioch." She came closer to him, and placed her hand on his chin, as she turned him to face her. Even if he stunk of alcohol he was still the most attractive creature in her eyes. "What has happened? Are you well?"

He looked at her then pulled himself from her grasp, "I drank because of what Farinele said to me as well as the marriage." He stepped back and looked at her, "No I am not well. This is the hardest thing I have had to do. I thought loosing Ceresa was hard, but this is ten times worse. I feel as if my heart is beign ripped to shreds.'' HE sighed, "While I was at my home she showed up. Only I thought she was you. And...." He growled angrily, "Now I am bound to her by a child."

"I am sorry for the words spoken, but you must know that deep down she does not mean them, you are after all her father." She looked at him, trying to make sure there were no marks or injuries on him. She looked over when she saw Ethinder making it's ways towards her, she smiled at the creature, then his words came over her and she just stopped completely. His words rung a horrible truth to her ears. She turned her head slowly, a mixture of shock and sadness in them. "You slept with her?..." She did not turn to look away.

"Doesnt matter she was right in many ways." He looked away from her, "I'm sorry Ireth. But yes I did. I thought it was you and not until i gained some sembelance of my sanity did I realize what had happend." He looked at her sadly, his eyes shining from what could be tears, "I have to do what is right for the child." He hated this and he now hated Ceresa. When once he had loved her with everything he had.

She looked at him for a few minutes, then shifted her head and looked down. She turned around, her back to him. Tears beginning to fill her eyes. Ethinder came right beside her and she picked it up in her arms like it was a child. She looked at a random flower, letting her tears come out as she nodded. "I...understand..."

He watched her turn and growled angrily. "This does not mean I do not love you IReth. I will always love you. More then her. I have no feelings for her anymore. She tricked me, taking advantage of me when she knew I was with someone else. I once wished to bring you nothign but happiness and now all i have done is brought you sadness. I only do what i have to for the child. If there was no child and you would still have me after what had happend then I'd be here with you, doing my best to prove to you my love." He frowned, "I wish for you to forgive me. I love you Ireth, not her."

She just nodded. "You are a noble soul. You tell the truth when others would lie. I cannot be angry at you for wishing to do right by your child and hers." Her eyes were taking a lifeless meaning to them. "I hope for this child's sake that you manage to regain some emotion towards her again, it should not grow up in a hostile environment because of it's parents mistakes." When he said he loved her, it struck a cord, and she began to weep. "I will always love you, Arioch." She started to walk away from him.

He heard her weeping and it tore him apart more. "Never will their be any sembelance of emotion toward that bitch." His eyes flashed and he disappeared suddenly in a puff of smoke and fire his words being carried on the wind, "You will always be with me, my beloved Ireth."

She held onto Ethinder as he clung against her chest as always. She looked around, her tears falling, and shining as they hit the ground. She heard his words, and felt her heart break. She used her free hand to touch her stomach. "And now while one child has a father, another shall be denied. And never will you know that I carry your child within me, Meles." She faded among the trees.
