"You have no idea how hard it was in the Royal Guard knowing I wasn't your child. They treated me badly for quite some time. I never told you because I didn't want special treatment, you know?" He smiled and let his father hug him. "There's no need to thank me. I would want you to do the same for me you know. That's what family is for, and in the end we are all family. We all came from somewhere, and we share that connection." He ran a hand through his hair. "I love you too dad, and I'll go wherever you need me to go, you know that. You have never steered me wrong before, and I will accompany you and introduce you to several of mine and Laita's friends. Demons specifically. Nice people, and willing to do anything for the sake of their own and others." He was referring of course to the Zanlaraniels and their familes, the Kings, and the Taninides and Zotithlas. Demonic families that he might even be stemmed off from. He didn't know, but it was possible. "I found out about my mother Earnur. They had her killed because she fell in love with a demon. It is why I am half and half. I do not know the whereabouts of my real father, but one day I would like to."

He eyed him seriously. "You should have told me, either way, Cirdan. No one is to be treated badly. And they have to learn that." He was going to have a conversation with them. Not only for what they did to Cirdan but for the sake of anyone else that was treated badly. "I'll make sure no one else is treated badly." He smiled. He couldnt put it to words how much these moments meant to him. "Thank you. But please, make sure to tell Laita and everyone else who will be worried. And spend time with Amarate. I'll be honest, I dont know how long this will be last. But please...dont make the same mistakes I made." He ran his hands through his face. "I would like that. To meet your friends." He listened to what he was saying about his mother and frowned. "Did you manage to find out her name?" He didn't like the sound of that. Her being killed for falling in love with a demon, it didn't bode well. Not when he too had suffered from a similar fate, minus the killing. "I'm going to investigate this, Cirdan. I promise. And I'll even help you find your real father." He was sincere, sure it would hurt when he was finally found, but he deserved to know of his heritage, all of it.

"Well, you go and tell the Guard that, and while you're at it, promote me so I have more time off for my daughter, because if I miss her walking, I'll walk right away from my duties in the guard. I want a higher position with the ability to stay here more when I please like YOU can. Got it?" He grinned. "Just tell me when and we'll start with the easiest to deal with, Vandos. He's easier to find and get along with I think. He likes pointy ears." He laughed. "Thinks it's cute." he rolled his eyes. "Her name was Lanlea...and I don't know her last name. She was a high priestess. It said she was descended from a powerful line of elves. Not the royal line, but one of the other great families we have. I think I'm the last one." He sighed. "Thank you dad. I appreciate the help."

He laughed. "You'll have to do something for me first. Rub my feet." He smirked. "I'll speak to them, your promotion has been long since overdue. They know full well you deserved on a long time ago. I'll make sure you have it by the end of the week. Both you and your friend...the one you're always stationed with. Barthlar, I believe his name is." He was rambling now. "Vandos...the name sounds familiar. But whoever you believe is the best to meet first I'm more than happy too." He took note of the name. It sounded familiar. Very familiar actually but he would start on his research as soon as he can, after this whole plague business was done. "We'll find everything out, I'll make sure of it." He eyed the hole and then looked at Cirdan. Reality was setting in on him. "I think it's best that I start preparing for our long journey. I want you to spend as much time with everyone, alright?" He hugged his son.

"Yes, well of course. Barthlar deserves it even more than I do. He works hard, is very serious. I'm the one always mouthing off more than I should. Rank him same as me, high up if you can. He's worth it. Trust me. He has many mouths to feed." He nodded and just made a pouty face. "Leave? Already? But Ihaven't rubbed those perdy elven feet of yours sir." He laughed and just laid where he was. "I'm tired. You bring me. Like old times. Or better yet, we fade, it's so much simpler. Me and Laita are spoiled. She loves fading. She thinks it makes me cool." he blushed and just stood up."Come on, hold on to me." He waited patiently.

"I had already planned it. Dont worry. Stop being so bossy." He rolled his eyes. "You're worse than a 5 year old who wants junkfood." He walked back over to his son and held onto his shoulder. "This will bring back some old memories." There was a toothy grin on his face. "Oh but that is because you ARE cool. Everyone wants to be like you. Especially me." There was a laugh from him and he waited. When had Cirdan become so strong? Time just flew by didn't it? He remembered when he was just a five year old boy eating everything he could fine. But nonetheless he was one happy and proud father.

"Oh don't be frightened, I don't bite!" He gripped his father tightly and grinned. "You owe me candy by the way. Six years old, swimming, first to the bottom. I won." He laughed and just looked at Earnur. "I know people want to be me, but see, don't tell anyone this, but, I've always wanted to be like you." His tone was serious. Cirdan had looked up to this man his entire life. Smiling, he just gave his father a reassuring squeeze and faded the both of them away.
