He walked the courtyard more relaxed, having gotten off duty for the rest of the day. He had spent a long time withing the confines of Laita's room and spoke to her of all the stories he knew. She seemed to love his stories more than anything, and he appreciated that, because she listened to him when rarely no one else ever would. Walking along a rarely used pathway, he watched as water simply cascaded over plants with no source of origin and was amazed at the things elves could do with their free time. Thinking back to the whole fireball situation, he was glad that Laita hadn't asked anything further of him that night, but he knew it was inevitable, and eventually she would be curious. Bored now, he looked out at the borders, and thought silently to himself that today he'd go out and explore some. It felt like years since he had last staked out the Hollow as part of the Guard's protocol. Finding a spot of grass, he sat down, pulled his bow over his shoulder and started cleaning it out of pure boredom, since it was already spotless and there was no need for it, but he needed an excuse to sit here and not be too bothered.

She walked through the gardens silently. She had sensed a dark aura here and it had caused damage to some of the plants. She could sense her mothers magic but something in the plants seemed to still be hurt. She walked slowly around the area where the dark aura was strongest touching the plants. Slowly she made her way across the gardens trying to heal the plants thoroughly. But as she got closer to a certain spot she could sense a familiar aura. She smiled and made her way towards it, only to find Cirdan. She looked down at him and spoke, "Mára aurë, Cirdan. Manen nalyë?"

He merely shrugged and then realized who was speaking to him and got on one knee."Princess Iaraya." he bowed his head and then stood up. "You needed any assistance with something?" He waited for her to answer.

She shook her head, "Cirdan, do not bow to me." She motioned for him to retake his seat, "No I do not need assistance, I was merely roaming the gardens trying to heal the plants. Somethign dark and evil has been here." She frowned, "I sensed many elven deaths. Do you know anything of them?"

"The Queen was seen not so long ago with some male creature with wings. I think it is he who has done this. She must be careful, word is getting around and she has yet to make an announcement. You best give her that piece of news." He nodded and then sat down again, bringing his bow back to his lap.

She thought a moment, "Mother with an Angel?" She closed her eyes and tried snsing the auras of the last people here, it was not an just an Angel, but a Fallen Angel. She opened her eyes and just laughed, 'Mother is most complexing. But let mother do as she wishes, maybe having an experiance with this Man will cause her to think differently of the ways she treats our people."

He simply shrugged."I will not speak of any of you in anyway so out in the open." He nodded and concentrated on his bow, not really caring about what the Queen was doing with another creture, unless it affected something more important.

Sje looked at him and just shook her head, "Cirdan, as long as you have known me, how is it you still think I care how you speak of my mother. IF I was Laita then maybe you would just say something." She looked at him knowingly, then changed the subject, "Have you been to greet the new arrivals?"

"You know as well as I do that I'm not open with her as much as you like to think I am. We are friends, and we have been close friends for a long time. Do not further that with your own whims of imagination. and no, I have not gone to greet the new arrivals. They will not remember me. New arrivals do not speak with the Guard leisurely. They merely eye us for a few seconds, know it is safe, and continue on to wherever they are going."

She shook her head, he seemed more bitter to her. But she would not push it no further, she just looked over him, "Cirdan you need to worry about them remembering you, it is the fact that you see them. I suppose them eyeing you is the frame of mind they are in. Mother never has really allowed the guard to mingle. But now I hope she changes that, for everyone's sake. I sense uneasiness in the Guard nowadays." She shrugged, "I hear My uncle has returned. But he has yet to show himself to me or any of the others. I spoke to Laita before I came here, but she hasnt seen him either."

"As far as I know, the Guard is fine. We have been doing this for years. Some see change as a bad thing, others welcome it." He shrugged. "There has to be a select group of us to be cold towards the masses at times. "It is the regular infantry that mingles more than we do."

She looked at him and raised her eyebrow, he spoke to her like she didnt know what she was talking about. "Cirdan, i know what it is the guard has done for years. Do not speak like I am ignorant." She walked to a plant that she felt was still not healed and touched it, watching aas it color changed and then shook with renewed life. She turned, "The guard will mingle as well, if I have my say. It is the guard that inevitably took the life of Daeron, to much time within the guard and not among the rest of our people is a waste."

"You have never been a part of the Guard, so you only know so much. Do not speak so freely of something you do not know the inside of. We have done this for years, and to mingle may break certain precautions that are needed." He looked at her. "When choosing to be a part of the Guard, you abide by the rules and tradition that YOUR ancestors created."

She scoffed, "I care not what the ancestors created. And do not tell me that I do not know. I know more then you think Cirdan. I may be the Princess, but I do not practice my royal ways freely. I actually have mroe to me then most would think."

"Yes, you have one of the most obnoxious attitudes in your family." He eyed her a bit angrily."I am not saying you know nothing, but I am telling you that you do not realize the amount of passion some of our kind have for the Guard. Daeron was a brave elf, I spoke with him on many ocassions. He would have wanted to go in battle."
