He sat in the courtyard just thinking. He had wanted time to think but he was sick of it now. He just wanted to sit somewhere and be at peace. And possibly keep an eye on Ireth and the Royal Family. He was confused about hsi feelings but he knew who he ultimately wanted. It wasn't a matter of history, it was a matter of heart and his heart wanted to be heard yet again. He sighed and just sat there with his eyes closed, trying to be at peace with himself and the world around him.

She walke in from the gates, her face covered by a veil. It was a mourning veil. It was customary dress for when those Elves who were about to lose someone wore, for their grieving. She had spoken to the High Elves and Iaraya's fate was set out. It hurt her very much, but she had to carry out what was just and lawful. She sighed, and stopped, not wishing to go any further. No one was around, at least in her eyesight and she started sobbing silently, her eldest daughter was to be sent away and stripped of her immortality, she did not know how she would go about telling her but knew she would. She looked up, the stars had filled the night sky, and she looked at one in particular. She let her tears run freely, and gazed up at it. "The star that was born on our wedding day..." She took it as a sign of Halmar knowing of what was to occur.

He had been dozing peacefuly, tryign to forget his feelings and thoughts when he heard the sobbing. He stood instantly and looked around. He saw someone clothed in what looked like mournign clothes. But from his sense he knew who it was. He walked towards her, and layed his hand on her, "Your tears will not save her from that fate. You msut be strong for you both, Beloved." He looked at her sadly wishing to take away her pain.

She did not turn, instead let his word soothe her as they did many a-time. "Do not say such things. I am aware of it, but it is what is keeping me from turning into a vengeful and spiteful creature." She turned to look at him. "I will tell her tomorrow, but I cannot go through with this...as much as I love my people, I refuse to watch my daughter die of old age.." She sighed, running her hand over his cheek. "How do the days away find you?"

He sighed and laid his hand ontop of hers allowing himself to just feel for a few moments. "I know but I will not lie to you Ireth. It is probably hurting Iaraya worse seeing you in such a state then anything." He nodded to her, "What will you do to her then? To keep her from aging?" He looked up at the sky a moment then back to her, "Not so well, I am still a bundle of thoughts and feeligns that will not straighten themselves for me."

"I can imagine. Actually, I cannot. I would have never dreamed of doing such things." She laughed slightly. "I attribute her nature to her father, he was just as fiery." She nodded, and gazed into his eyes. "I am to exile her and take her immortality from her, but I will do no such thing. And I know the Valar shall not be angry at me." She pulled her hand away. "I am sorry, Arioch. I truly am. But no matter what you ultimately decide, you must do so for your own sake...to make yourself happy..." She looked down a moment, almost saddened by the prospect of loosing him, but she would not show it.

He smiled slightly, it made him a bit jealous to hear her speak of her old love. But he ahd no say when he so readily spoke of Ceresa many times. "What you do is best, only you can make the decision and if you think the Valar will nto be mad then they probably will not." He felt her hand move away and he grabbed it into his own and looked at her, "Either choice I make will break my heart because i love you both. But she ahs changed. I am not sure she is still what I want."

She was caght off guard by how quickly he grabbed her hand, and she smiled. She moved her other hand to remove the veil from her eyes. "I cannot say much on her, for I only just met her. But at times the heart aches for what used to be, and may even be blinded by past events." She looked up to him. "I just wish you to know that I shall respect your decision regardless of what it may be....nothing shall change what I feel for you."

He sighed and smiled at her, "Yes the heart longs for the old. But sometimes it wishes for the new. I don't know if what she and I once had is still there. She just feels different to me. My heart says two names but one is more prominant then the other." He looked into her eyes and his gaze was unwaivering, "Your name is loudest in my mind."

She listened with interest, keeping her eyes locked to his. His words were like a sweet melody to her ears and she smiled. She took his hand, and brought it against her heart, so he could feel it beat. "Do you see what your words do to me, Arioch?" She ran her hand along his cheek for a brief instance, and then moved her lips against his, letting her tongue slide across his.

He let himself kiss her, feeling her heart beat as he did. He pulled away then took her hand and placed it against his own chest, "It is the same affect you have on me, Ireth." He pulled her closer to him and hugged her tightly, "My choice was made for me the day I met you. The onyl thing that could change it or make me decide otherwise will never happen.

She felt the subtle beatings of his heart and smiled. "As I said, I will respect the choice you make, though.." She looked at him, chuckling softly. "...I must say I'm very glad it's me." She chuckled and leaned her forehead against his chest, sighing slightly. "How will your daughters react to all of this though?"

He kissed the top of her head and jsut held her there not wanting to ever let her go, "They will be happy for me no matter what. Yarizel never liked her mother anyway. And Farinele is too caught up on your brother to care. We need to do somethign about those two. I don't think she knows what to do with herself at this time because he is so down about Iaraya."

She smiled briefly. "We do nothing. Both my brother and your daughter deserve happiness." She looked up to him. "Or do you not think that?" She frowned and winced when she heard her daughters name and nodded slowly, turning away. She sighed, she had to tell Laita about this too, she deserved to know what fate would befall her sister.

He laughed, "No I mean Farinele was so used to being locked up in that room with him, doing goddess knows. And now it seems his mood has carried to her." He sighed and hugged her, wanting to be an outlet for her pain, "I wish for both of their happiness despite mine and your brother's differences."
