Golden hair shimmered in the sun. Those golden rays giving the blond hair a glow that was rarely seen in these dark days. It was as if the weather in each place he traveled to carried with it the feelings in his heart. Anger, worry, sadness. It was the one thing he'd seen on the faces of most of the people of each town on the continent to the East. It had been four long months of travel he'd never in his life done. He would be sent to different places to investigate different but still, he always made sure to come home and spend time with his Farinele and Thedon. But the visits never lasted for more than two days. It always pained him to leave them, especially in these troubling times. Life in Shadowed Redemption Hollow was still normal. People walking in the streets without worry. Kids running and enjoying their youth. Criminals killing and stealing, and the people of their trades doing what they did best. Ignorance was bliss. That statement had never been truer than in these last four months. If he could, he would cast a great veil around the town. Around his families eyes. He would much rather see them enjoy life than suffer or worry of the things that may come their way. But eventually it would, it was a heartbreaking reality for him. One that killed him when he thought of his son. How many children had already died from this? He cursed the people responsible. Hoped to high heaven that when they died their souls suffered in eternal agony. Such a horrible thing to do. A plague that ends all lives. A plague that will change everything. And still he holds a bit of hope. That cures will be foung, towns able to regain former bits of their past ways. Perhaps, the heavens would hear the cries of the people and take pity in them, deliver them from this evil. His heart was weary. His mind always worrying, fluttering with the same thoughts. He needed to save these people even if it took him the rest of his life. He needed to do this for Farinele and Theoden's sake. His family. A family that he loved more than life itself. A family he would die for in a heartbeat. His beautiful wife and their beautiful son. Thinking of those faces he knew he would forever use his strength to fight. Even when he felt it useless, felt it was time to give in to those doubts he just needed to see Farinele's gorgeous face smiling at him. Or Theoden playing with some butterflies to once again gain his energy and do what he must. He was an Elven Prince, yes, but first and foremost, he was a man who believed in life. The right of all living creatures to be able to live freely, and love greatly. Perhaps one day these people would gain that. A world where races would mean little and the only thing to matter would be what was in a person's heart. But who was he kidding? That would never occur, but he could hope. And he would. So finally the Elven Prince walked through the courtyard. There was a smile on his face that was only seen when he was back in the Elven village. After all there's no place like home right? And this place was his sanctuary. A place where he could be himself and for a few hours or days, be able to forget the problems that plague the world. He could just be what he wanted to be. A loving husband, a loving father, a loving brother, and a loving uncle. That toothy grin spread across his face as he passed through the thresh hold. Already members of the guard smiling and welcoming him back. It was great to be here. A place where there was a lot of 'love' for those that he knew and knew him as well. So he was back from another long tiresome trip in order to take comfort in the things he loved. In the things that brought him the most joy, the biggest smiles, and the most unexpected surprises. His family.

So many months had passed since she had laid eyes on her husband. But she understood he had duties to attend to. She would never step in the way of those duties, she would just grin and bear it. As she had done all of her life for the things she had believed in. And she believed in his cause because it was her own. She had found out that she was married to the highest ranking officer of the Harper Scouts by accident. She had been speaking to another of the scouts on her last journey out. And they spoke of a meeting they were to have. The person had mentioned Earnur and then said he was the ranking officer. It was a surprise to her, a surprise that she had been angry about at first. But with time she got over it. What was to be expected of a secret organization? Everything was kept a secret, and she trusted that he would have told her in time. At least now she felt better about his leaving for months at a time. The only thing she didn't like was him missing important events in their sons life. Like his first words or steps. He had even missed a Birthday. But in the end it was she who he would have to make it up to it was Theoden. She moved through the corridors of the palace quietly. Theoden was sleeping, but the slightest noise would wake him. He wanted to see his father and she couldn't get him to calm down enough lately to nap. But for once he had tired early and fell asleep. She moved into the dining area and sat down in a chair at the table. It was the quietest room for now. No one would be in here and she could rest for a bit here. She lay her head on the table and closed her eyes. Her thoughts leaving her and settling on Earnur. Where was he? Was he ok? Did he need her? She missed him more with each moment that passed, but she knew he was fine. Nothing could happen to him, not while he helped others.

Eyes darted to the scenery. To the people who were walking about and waving at him. To the different flowers at the garden in the courtyard. It was beautiful and it was obvious to him that probably Farinele and Ireth had made sure to keep the flowers blooming as beautifully as they were now. His sword clanked softly against his belt and he was finally within the palace walls. It was good to be home, and hopefully he would be staying for as long as he was planning. He wanted family time now more than ever. And with that in mind he passed through the throne room and headed towards the kitchens. Intent on speaking to the cook to prepare a romantic dinner for himself and Farinele since it'd felt like a lifetime ago since they were able to have one. But before he even reached the kitchens he caught sight of the most beautiful flower in the garden called life. He smiled widely and using his Elven abilities moved soundlessly towards her. She was beautiful, even more so now, that she had beared him a son. A son he couldnt wait to see. Finally he was at her side and arms wrapped around her, as she sat with her eyes closed. "And why would such a beautiful flower be sitting in here all alone on a marvelous day, such as this?"

She heard excitement in the voices of people outside the castle walls. Perhaps someone had returned from a long journey, perhaps it was Earnur. She laughed at herself, she couldnt expect him home so soon. He still had so much to do, to work on, he couldnt be home yet. Besides if she got her hopes up and it wasn't him then she would be disappointed and even more miserable then she was now. She tried not to think about it, she tried not to let it get to her, and most of the time it worked. But now she was alone and thinking about him and it got to her. She sighed and then stiffened when someones arms came around her. And then a familiar filled her ears. She smiled to herself not opening her eyes, "Perhaps because the flower is to tired to do anythign else. Or because she misses her husband to much to see that beautiful day." She didnt move, "Is it really you?"

"Unless I'm a metarmorphic creature who has decided to kill myself and then imitate my voice, my kisses.." At that he leaned down and placed a soft kiss on her cheek. "...And my maneurisms, then no, it's not me. But if I'm just myself come back to the palace after a long trip and wishes nothing more than to spend time with his family, then yes, it is me." He smiled briefly and moved aside so he could stare at her. She looked beautiful, something he already knew. But the way the light that was hitting the diningroom touched on her face. It gave her such a radiance, and that image alone was good enough to last him until his next return. Although, he wasnt planning on leaving anytime soon. This would become a mini-vacation. A well-deserved one at that. "I've missed you, Farinele."

She smiled when his lips brushed her cheek, chills rippled up her spine, and her eyes fluttered open. She sat up and turned to gaze upon the face of the man she loved, "It is a good metamorphisis. You look just like him and yor lips feel like his too." She stood and moved over to him and wrapped her arms around him, "I have missed you Earnur. More than you know." It took everything she had in herself to not jump into his arms, to just lock him up somewhere to keep him there forever. She kissed him softly and squezzed her arms around him, "How long are you back for? How was your trip? Did anythign happen? Did you think about me? Theoden?" So many questions ran through her mind but the biggest thing that was there was that he was home, in her arms again.

He chuckled and held her gently. Sniffing at the sweet perfume she had on. She smelt of honey and roses. He moved his lips away from her cheeks and just went down to her neck and kissed it a few times for good measure. He missed the way Farinele's body seemed to gravitate to his in perfection. Her smile, her voice, everything about her. "As long as I can be, love. Yes I did think about you and Theoden. I'd be a horrible family man if I didnt think about my wife or son. The trip was long and exhuasting. And of course something happened, I wouldnt have left so suddenly if it hadnt. Now that's I've answered your questions, how is everyone? Has Theoden done something new?" After he said that he frowned inwardly, he hated knowing that he was missing so many big things in his sons life. He wanted nothing more than to be there for him, but he also understood that certain things could not be helped.

She smiled and looked up to him, "Good. It will be nice to have you here for longer then a few days. And hopefully for our sons birthday." She grinned slighly, "It is good you did think of us I'd have to punish you if you hadnt." She ran a hadn acrossed his face and kissed his cheek softly, "Well you are here now and you can rest and relax all you want. I refuse for you to have to do anything. I will take care of you." She pulled away and moved to the table and sat on it, "Theoden strung a whole sentence together and has been using the toilet. Soon he'll be out of diapers. AS for everyone else it's the same old same old. I went into the Town and saw IAraya, she is seeing someone now."

"Maybe I would want to be punished." He smiled deviously and ran his hand over her thigh softly. "An entire sentence? Well what exactly did the sentence consist of?" He sighed slightly. Already using the toilet. He was missing a large chunk of his son's life. He felt like a failure as a father. He wanted nothing more than to be here in all the important events of his sons life. "Hopefully I'll be here when he does finally stop using diapers for good." He smiled slightly. "She has? Who, exactly?" He turned away slightly. He was a tad overprotective of his neices. Something he couldnt help. And he knew that it had been a long time since Iaraya had been with anyone. Not since her former love had passed away. He was happy for her, as long as the man was treating her good. Otherwise, he might have a need to step in.

She laghed and leaned forward and placed a soft kiss on his nose, "Maybe we can arrange something later." She smiled and then frowned, "He asked where you were. It was so adorable and so sad at the same time. But your here now and he'll be happy to se you when he wakes up. And don't worry I'm sure you'll be there for that." She knew he must feel upset about missing his son's childhood, but she knew what it was to be apart of the Harper Scouts. It was more of a job for him because he was the Head Harper. She reached up and brushed the hair across his forehead away with her finger and smiled slighty, "She wont tell me his name. Just that he is like no other guy she knows. She also wanted me to tell you she loves you and misses you. I think she has settled into her new life with the help of Mae and Zora."

He smiled. She always had a way to bring a smile to his face even in the most depressing situations. "Well then, I can deal with that. I should start acting like a bad boy." He furrowed his brows a few times and just kissed her cheek. "I cant wait to see him. I bet he's already taller than me." He laughed. "I should be here more. This isnt fair to Theoden.." His demouner changed, somewhat. It just never boded well for him for a father not to be there during a child's childhood. Not when he had wanted a child more than anything. He turned his head slightly. "I'm glad. She deserves happiness after everything's that happened. I'll go and visit them later, I'd like to see Mae and Zora too and if Im lucky, Iaraya's 'friend' will be there too. Have you heard anything from Laita?" He looked down and crossed his arms. His relationship with her had been strained something, that had never occured between the two before. "But tell me....what have you been doing in my time away?"

She chuckled and gave him a seductive look, "Who said you had to be bad?" She smiled and then shook her head, '"No he isnt taller then you, he is still a boy, but he is getting bigger. He'll be happy to see you though." She looked at him and sighed, "Please don't think your a failure Earnur. You aren't. Theoden is fine, he knows your off saving the world and that makes him proud of you. I'm proud of you." She knew it was a blow to his male pride that he wasn't there for his son, she hated it at times and wished they could take turns saving the world. But she could never be what he was. She lifted her hand up and turned his face towards her, "You are the best father I know. And considering I never had one that is saying alot." She shook her head, "No I havent. But I probably wouldnt either. She doesnt like me much."

"No one. But you could act like a disciplanarian, wear some glasses, and a dress and then I can undress you with my eyes." He chuckled softly. He loved spending time with her, it was one of the good parts of life. "Yes, he may be a boy but the males in our family tend to grow very tall. You'll see when Theoden grows older. He'll be taller than both of us, I'm sure." He looked at her and smiled. He was glad that he had her to reassure him of the things that dealt with their son. "Thank you, Farinele." He took her hand and kissed it softly. He loved this woman with everything in him. He chuckled. "Well considering you never had one, it means I could be the most terrible one in the world." He ran his hand over her cheek, and frowned. "I'm sure she likes you...she just resents me."

She giggled, "We'll see love. Although it does sound appealing. And considering I havent seen you in awhile, everything about you is appealing." She smiled and then laughed, "I suppose your right. He is rather tall for his age as it is." She gave him an encouraging smile, "Your welcome Earnur. As for you as a father. I have seen what it is like to be a terrible father. You do not hit our son, you do not ignore him, you are the best father in my eyes. And I am sure of that." She shook her head, "She resents me for taking you from her."

He laid back on the table smirking. "Everything sounds appealing, it certainly does. Because at the moment I'm getting images of you wearing nothing and dancing with a flower on your hair." He shook his head, he'd have a good bit of naughty thoughts about her during his time away. It had become his coping mechanism with everything that was going at the moment. At least, though, his mind's creations were sitting right next to him and sleeping upstairs. He had so many things he wanted to do with them. "He'll be a giant when we least expect it, and then I'll be forced to cowar before him." He laughed rather loudly. "Thank you, my love. Your words make my insides swell." He shifted his head, getting an eyeful of her behind and he couldnt help but smirk but it was quickly replaced. "Perhaps, it would do us all good to come together and speak of this. It's been long enough, and after the things I've seen, I rather fix this divide in our family."
