"Harper Scouts...well...I suppose that sounds decent enough." He nodded and then eyed her actions, listened to her words."So I'm having this bad feeling for a reason. I knew it wasn't to do with the boy, but no matter. Who started this, or is it something no one really knows anymore?" He scratched the back of his neck and took her hand and started walking, not enjoying to stay in one place for so long.

She blinked slightly and just followed him in his walk. It was better this way, especially if anyone decided to listen in on something she shouldnt be listening to in the first place. "Yes. And I'm sure those who are truly intuned with the going-ons of the world can feel it as well. First and foremost, I will let you know that you need to be initiated officially into the ranks. But I'll do all that after I've briefed you into everything. And also, you should keep the pin, it's the only identifying symbol that the members have."

"Should be a tattoo, more permanent, harder to copy, but the pin is just as good." He held his hand out and just waited for the pin and nodded."Briefed and initiated, which would be what? Something mental or physical or both?" He had questions and assumed they were used to that so he wouldn't hold back."You didn't answer my question from before. Who started it?"

She placed the pin in his hand. "Both. It's always good to know where a person is at both mentally and physically. As well as to know their limits. You'll be given a special type of 'stealth' training. But you'll be told more when you've reached out 'headquarters.' As for your question it's still unknown. We know it was a group of people who are very knowledgable but that's as far as our intel has gone. I suppose there's no point in hiding it from you. Currently a vicious plague has been spread on the other side of the world. Towns and millions have already perished and it will only be a matter of time before it reaches this coast. We've been trying to find not only those responsible but also a cure to ease the souls of those who havent been infected and of course, the peoples in this corner of the world. But whoever's done this...they've convered their tracks well and if my theory is correct, well we know why we're having difficulty in finding those responsible for something so...heinous.." She frowned. "It's...not a pretty sight.."

"Right, a group and stealth, well, I'm good at that." He nodded and just rubbed the pin several times and let it drop into his pocket, looking at several children pass by him."Plague huh? Sounds bad, and not so good, considering that it's so close." Taking in more of the information he thought about his family, and frowned."Haven't found them? Well, then you must not be doing the proper job. No offense."

"We're doing everything in our powers. We've had just about everyone in the organization looking for them, but it's proved useless." She sighed. "I'm sure you're very well versed in your abilities. And I can only hope you have better luck. But these people...they have thousands of years of knowledge at their hands. And this plague proves it. No races will be saved from this. We'll all suffer from the same fate if nothing is found." She ran her hands over her face. "But...there's no need in being pessimistic. We WILL find a cure to this. And we will make those responsible for this pay dearly. At least...some people will get to live a few more days without knowing of the darkness that comes their way..."

"It's better that way of course." He was deciding now in his head if he should tell his family of this, prepare them beforehand, thinking it not fair to know this and for them not to."We'll find a cure I'm sure, everything happens for a reason. I know these things are horrible, but everything happens for a reason." He always thought about things like this being for a reason.

"If only I could think like you. You...havent seen the way the plague causes the body to deteriorate...but if that werent enough. It causes madness..." Her eyes glazed over. She saw the effect of it first-hand. She even had to go as far as to kill one of her friends because it had completely taken over their body. "But..." She took a breath. "...You must keep this in secrecy...as much as everyone deserve to know this....it's better for them all to live their lives ignorant to this...because I have no doubt that within a weeks a time...if not sooner, every town in this side of the world will know of it."

"I will keep it as secret as I possibly can. One thing you Scouts do not realize is that there is one thing all creatures unite together for, and that is to live. I will still help, but to agree to a principle in which only a group seems to feel the need to be responsible for is something I can't agree to. I'm sure you understand. What I do feel though, is that whatever the cure may be, it's bigger than the Scouts, bigger than you and I." He nodded, another of his gut feelings or perhaps more than just a feeling, perhaps actual knowledge.

"Oh we do realize it. And that's why we've been preparing aid for when everyone is finally aware of what comes their way. We've all held hope, that people will set aside what differences they may have and help one another and we'll do out best to facilitate this." She closed her eyes for a moment. "No one truly knows. You may be right. But I suppose we'll know once the cure is found. In whichcase..." Her eyes opened again. "...It's best to find the other Scouts that are supposed to have arrived already, as well as what mercenaries were hired...which still confounds me but the more the better, I suppose. You can come with me if you wish. If not, I will give you the directions in order for you to reach the headquarters, when you see it fit."

"I'd be more pleased going when I saw fit." He smiled and stopped walking, just mulling over everything that had just been told to him, what he could do to help, and what others could do as well."Already he was planning, but more was needed and as soon as he was ready, he'd find more info at this headquarters that she spoke of."Arinos by the way."

"As you wish it." She snapped her fingers and watched as a scroll floated in front of him. "There are your directions. Once you've reached the given destination it will self-destruct. But not before it. It's a pleasure, Arinos. Minerva, at your service. And let me be the first to welcome you to the Harper Scouts." She fastened the bag to her side. "I'm going to go ahead and catch up with a few Scouts. If you ever need me, just call for me. I'll appear." She smiled. "Good luck and safe travels to you, Arinos." And with that she went on her way.

"Good luck and safe travels are unfortunately a luxury which I find at a rarity at most times, but nevertheless, good luck indeed." He pocketed the scroll and just watched her for awhile and soon afterwards faded away.
