"Thank you, ma'am." Heavy footsteps walked across the mahogany wood of the inn towards the exit of the establishment. The door swung open and out stepped a woman clad in a brown and white top. A necklace with the pendant of a Harpy in a circle and an insignia writting along a claw, swung along with her black hair. There was a sullen expression on her face as she looked out to the people who were toiling about. Mercenaries to the left of her conversing about ideal things, at least that's what she picked up. Officials near the middle of the Port were busy giving a sermon about who knew what. The farmers in the outlands were busy plowing and collecting their crops. And children just ran up and down the area without a care in the world. This would have been a nice relaxing time if she wasnt here on business. A group of them, of Harper Scouts and Mercenaries, were gathering in order to find those responsible for the plague that was ravishing the towns just across the ocean. And it was only a matter of time before this place as well as others were hit with the plagues frightening reality. She moved along the road slowly, smiling as she watched a young couple confessed their love. "If only things could stay this way...." She spoke softly to herself, reality setting in, that things would change so greatly in such a short amount of time.

Speeding up, he just dove right at the water, wondering why the woman didn't just use any type of power to save her baby which she had somehow managed to drop. Finally catching up to the baby, he felt half of his body hit the water and quickly faded before the rest of him went in and then he looked to the woman."Next time take better care of him!" He growled and just put the baby in her arms and stormed off. He was all out of sorts, a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach constantly and he just mumbled, crashing right into someone and just sighed, grabbing her arm before either of them went down to the ground and sighed."Terribly sorry. Wasn't paying attention." He nodded and eyed her. She was interesting to say the least.

Her eyes drifted when she heard some commotion near the waters of the port. Something about a baby being dropped into the water. She shook her head wondering if some people were really that distracted, especially when it came to her children. But just as she turned she felt someone bump into her and then stop her from falling. She looked up at the person, and straightened herself. Well, she just did what she accused other people of doing. "It's alright neither was I." She noticed how wet he was and figured he must have been the hero of the incident. "How cold was that water?"

"Not cold at all, well, least not to me. I've been in colder glacial water in fact." He smiled."Doesn't bother me really, cold water and all of that." Nodding he just looked down and then back up to her, running a hand through his hair, sighing."Crazy people not paying attention to kids. I'd do anything to have one of my own." He laughed."Sorry, sometimes I ramble, lately moreso."

She chuckled. "I suppose the waters here are somewhat temperate. Given the location, of course." She turned when she heard a familiar voice behind her. If it wasnt Marek the Mercenary. She made a sound of displeasure and turned back to the man. "Dont worry about it. Ramblings are a godsend if you manage to get everything you need out. But I agree, people need to be more attentive to their children. But curious why do you ramble moreso now? Is it boredom?"

"Rambling really because I just have a horrible feeling, that's really it. Bored? No, when I'm bored I act a bit loony." He nodded seriously."Right now I have no reason to be bored because I'm talking with someone." He turned and looked to who she was looking at and then turned around again, thinking it better not to bother asking. He didn't want to know right now anyway.

"A horrible feeling?" Could it be that maybe he felt the same uneasiness that she and a few others did. "I can understand that feeling. I've had a similiar sensation bother me for a few months now." She sighed and shifted to her side digging into a bag at her side. She pulled out, what looked like a towel and extended her hand to him. "You might need it more than I do." She growled slightly when she heard something that didnt bode well with her but tried her best not to let it bother her. "I swear, some places are filled with some idiotic peoples."

He tilted his head and gave her the towel."No thank you. I'm fine, honest. Thanks though." Looking over he just wondered what had changed her tone for an instant to one who was annoyed by something and he nodded."Yeah, but not everyone means to be idiotic. Some people just weren't taught properly that's all."

She gave a nod and put the towel away again. "I agree, but those who werent taught properly, you can notice right off the bat. But people who chose to be ignorant to certain things...it's a different story." She gave a sigh. "Perhaps you could answer something for me. Have you, by chance, seen anyone else who carries something like this..." She dig her hand into her pocket and pulled out a little pin that held the image of an elaborat Hawk holding a scroll between it's claws. "...with them?"

Taking the pin from her with smile, he just turned it over in his hand and studied it for some time and then nodded."Yes, yes I've seen it." He nodded."I'll try and remember where, but I've definitely seen it. I think, one of the people who comes to the house perhaps had it once, very discreet, I don't think anyone else saw, but see, I observe such things. Why?"

She just let him take a look at it. The faster she could find any more scouts the better. The news she received were somewhat grave. Especially given the magnitude of what was just about to occur. She listened to him carefully, should she even tell him? What did it matter, it's not like many knew of them anyway. "I take you mean, your home?" She watched him silently. "Let's just say we're all apart of something hidden from public view."

His eyes lit up and he shook his head, handing back the pin."I knew it! I knew there was some secret underground stuff going on!" He laughed and just scratched his head."Knew there had to be explinations to certain things, certain things that happen that others just see as something remotely unimportant but really it's something of mass importance." He laughed some more."So he's part of that group then, and to think he doesn't let us all join! Spoil sport."

She couldnt help but laugh at how enthusiastic he was. For some reason she trusted him, even if they had just met. "What you did....just then is very admirable...saving the child and what-not. I have no idea of who you're referring too, but if you think you could do well in helping a greater cause, I'd have no qualms in welcoming you into our ranks. Something about you...tells me that you could be of great asset and of course you might enjoy the traveling and what you have your disposal...assuming you do it all for good and not evil...I dont mean to sound accusing but one has to be careful."

"Ah yes, because I'm very evil and all." He smiled and then thought some."Well, I suppose I could be serving a better more important purpose than I am now, though, I failed on one person, but I've still got one more shot to help that. Don't ask." He was referring to Rionos, but that would take some time, the children weren't born yet, so he had awhile before he needed to worry yet again."Sure why not." He nodded and stood at attention."What might you call your group then? Hopefully something forceful and that commands respect?"

"Dont worry, I wont. I know my boundaries." She gave him a smile. It was the first time in a long since she'd iniate someone into the Scouts and she felt she was being even more productive than before. "It's not very forceful, at least I believe it's not. Besides it doesnt really matter since 95% of the world's populations has no knowledge of our existance. We're called the Harper Scouts and our main goal is to maintain a balance between good and evil, chaos and order, so on and so forth. And you're about to join us in a very perilous time. And I am not referring to us as a group, I refer to everyone...every single creature..." Her eyes strayed for a moment and a frown appeared on her face.
