Ari caught the creature by the neck and swung him down, watching him slam into the ground and sending up a huge explosion of dirt and rocks. They rained down on him and he watched the creature jump out of the large crater as the debris in the air cleared up. Arilios took a few punches to the face as the creature attacked him, but then he sent a barrage of fireballs at the little thing.

She sighed loudly and made a face. "It just won't go down." She groaned. She sheathed her daggers and figured she may as well fight magic with magic. She placed her arms on either side of them and muttered in an ancient language. Pentagrams appeared on each palm of the hand and Isbeth concentrated on the little creature. Her eyes narrowed as she muttered more in this ancient language. The pentagrams began to glow a neon pink color that spread all across her body. She blinked and in an instance her eyes changed color from their blue into a deep midnight. She flew towards the demon, avoiding Arilios' attacks just barely and sent a hard punch right at the creatures face.
"Return back to your abyss." She spoke fiercely and the pink energy concentrated on the little creature who just seemed to stop in it's tracks and look at her. He couldn't move, paralyzed from every inch of his body. "Return back to your Abyss."

Arilios simply stared, watching this Fallen causing the little one to stop in its tracks. Not moving, he pulled back to see what would happen. Could she send him back to where he came from, or would the creature simply break her hold and attack them some more, or would it actually obey her and return to wherever it came from.

The creature stared as if mulling over its options. Isbeth's eyes narrowed further and with that simple action she sent a jolt of magical lightning into the creatures body. It hissed and then gave a single nod. "Go then." And within moments the creature disappeared from sight. Isbeth pulled back from her position and gave a deep sigh turning to the demon. "I think you're free to find what you're looking for." She smiled softly just glad for that little battle to be over. She'd had enough of those to last her fifteen lifetimes.

The creature went off to wherever it was going and Arilios nodded to the Fallen. "That was a nice little parlor trick. Hopefully it won't ever come back, but we'll see." And Arilios went back to where the tree was to find that there was a door where the guardian had entered and it was open. He dropped down into it and was in complete darkness. He held one hand out and a plume of flames shot up from his hand and remained that way, lighting up the place.
There were ruins of some sort. Like a living chamber it seemed. Symbols were etched into the stone.

Isbeth contemplated whether to follow him or not. This was after all his journey and not hers but damn she'd just fought off that creature and she was curious to know what exactly he had guarded so well against. Taking a deep breath she looked down the hole and just jumped in. Before she even moved forward she made sure to tell her intentions to the Demon.
"I don't want whatever's in here. I just figure I may as well see what that little bugger was fighting so hard to defend. I'm known as Isbeth, by the way. And I tend to have a bit of a curious streak. If I were a cat I'm sure I'd be dead thrice over." And she stepped forward cautiously.

"Arilios. And even if you did want what was in here, the minute you saw it, you wouldn't really want it after all." He moved forward and chuckled, seeing something there written on a sign above a chest.
He couldn't help it, but it brought back a lot of memories.

"Thank goodness I don't want it then." Isbeth said softly and followed. This was larger than she'd expect. It was like a little labyrinth and it incurred her curiosity even further. She gazed at a sign above a chest and raised an eyebrow. Why would someone put a sign above a chest? "So. The fact that there's a sign above the chest. Good or bad?"

"Just something to laugh at. Very old language. No one uses it anymore." He smiled and then opened the chest. There was no lights, no sounds, no thrills. Just the chest. And out of it he pulled a note and what looked to be a little wooden sword, which made him smile sadly.

She stared at the sign and nodded. She stepped back a few inches and watched him as he opened the chest. He pulled out a piece of paper and a toy sword and she had to wonder why someone would put something like that in a chest and then sick an insane monkey after anyone who even tried to find it. She watched him and caught his smile and frowned slightly. Something dawned on her and she smiled a tiny bit. "Did you set the guardian here or someone close to you?"

Arilios turned to Isbeth. "A long time ago, a very powerful sorcerer stole my son. I don't know where he is, what he's become. This is his sword. And a clue to where he is. This is all the sorcerer left me." He put the note in his pocket and tied the sword to his waist.

She frowned. "I'm sorry Arilios." That was one of the few things she couldn't stand. The pain of a parent because eventhough he didn't show it, she knew it was there. She looked at him for a few seconds. In all the events of the last few months it was odd that something like this would be what got to her most. She didn't say anything for a few moments as she mulled over a few things and then just made a decision. "I'd like to help you find him." It was simple as that.

Turning to face Isbeth , Arilios gave her a pretty genuine smile. "That's very nice of you. I'm not sure how you can help, but could I just get about two minutes alone to compose myself? Looks bad if I go out there and people see me like this." He chuckled.

"Neither do I but stories like yours always tugged at my heartstrings and I could never do anything to help. Now I can so I offer." She smiled softly and then nodded. "Take all the time in the world... this, I hope is the first of many victories in finding your son. I'll be outside." And Isbeth wandered back out into the ruins ready to give Arilios all the time he needed.

Arilios took a deep breath and examined the chamber for about a minute. When he was satisfied that there was nothing else here, he left and saw that Isbeth was still there. "I'm good now. Thanks for that, taking care of that little weirdo creature."
