The heels on her thigh high leather boots clicked on the wooden planks of the little tavern. There were a number of men on the floor writhing in pain. They had tried to touch her, see what she was willing to put up with, so now there were a number of them on the floor and the rest had left, wanting to avoid her cat o'nine tails, that now hung from her waist. A few more people came up to her as a challenge and she put her drink down, twisting out of the grip of one robust woman, snapping her neck and kicking a demon in the groin, hitting him in the face with a potion, watching his face implode.
She sighed and looked at the bartender. "You'd think they would have learned by now." Lorenia grabbed her drink again and sat down to try and relax. It was hard work when you were descended from a strong line of succubi, but had the strength of a Fallen.

Hannibal had walked in during the entire scuffle. He watched silently as the woman pretty much manhandled everyone that came at her. The entire while Hannibal could only smirk and snort. He figured at some point these creatures would get a clue but nope. They were still the same dumbasses they'd always been. He zipped past the scene and straight for the bartender asking for his strongest drink which he quickly gulped down and refilled just eyeing the glass and thinking.
"They never learn. Shit eaters only understand two things. Ass whooping and death. And you just provided them with both. You did good."

"Shush King." Lorenia looked over at him. "I'd use my whip on you, but I know you like that kind of stuff." She gave him a knowing stare and went back to her drink. "Of all the creatures to walk into the Tavern, it would have to be you."

"Damn straight." He half smirked and sipped on his glass. "Pah. You know it was perfectly timed. Everyone wants me around and my wonderful color commentary.. or post commentary whichever." He shrugged and smirked. He looked more haggard than usual, a little worse for wear and just not his usual self. The last few months had been crazy for him and they had no plans of letting up it seemed.

She laughed as if she knew something he didn't and finished her drink, ordering another one which she continued to drink without a moment of hesitation. Lorenia dug into the wood of the counter with her nail and smiled.

Hannibal looked at the bartender and jiggled his empty glass at him. "More. Some of your strongest stuff. I need the alcohol in my system." He gave a goofy smile and waited patiently until another drink was brought to him and he happily drunk it. "So what's so funny Lorenia?"

"You. That's what's so funny. Old, soft, and the way I hear it, one of the nicest grandpas to ever grace the Hollow. And compensating as well. What with a whole tower. But that's no surprise either. You were never exactly a big man." She laughed a bit more.

"Hardy har har." He snorted and shook his head. "You're right I'm not big. I'm enormously huge. Like poking an eye out fifty miles away." He chuckled and took another long swig of his glass. He motioned to Gavs for another drink and found the bartender looking oddly at him. "Just gimme the drink old man. I'll spill my guts out some other time."

"Yeah, right. Whatever you say." She shrugged her shoulders and licked the edge of her glass, getting a few drops of alcohol hanging there. For the hell of it, she ordered just one more and ran a hand through her hair. "You definitely have managed to keep that same grating humor of yours intact."

"Eh, what can I say? I'm just the amazing Hannibal King." He shot her a quick smile as he went for another gulp of alcohol. He rolled the glass between his fingers and furrowed his brows for a few moments. He cleared his throat and just turned to look and see who was still left at the tavern after Lorenia's little display. "So been kicking ass and taking names?"

"Here and there. When I have to. I've cut back on the bit of me that likes a bit of the forced romances. A woman can only take so many annoying Hannibal King types before she gives up on creatures for awhile." She smirked. "And there are only so many demons until it's more or less the same thing."

"There's only one Hannibal King babes. And that's me. All those other 'types' that sound like me are just the fakes." He chuckled and pushed his empty glass forward. Gavs eyed him as if waiting to be told to get another drink but Hannibal shook his head. "Nah, I think I've had enough. I can't find solace inside a bottle. Heh."

"After all these years, you should know that you could never find solace in a bottle. Were never the type. The only way you found solace was calling on your little harem." Lorenia felt like teasing him, just like from when he was younger, when he was careless. She refrained though.

"Hey... I never had a harem. Would've LOVED to but never had one... although given the sum of all my exes yeah I suppose I did have one in hindsight." He snickered and shrugged. "Ah. Things were so much simpler back then. How things change, eh?"

"I was already quite old back in your day." She rolled her eyes. "Things do change, but for me it's more how watching people change over time. It's more fascinating. Things were a lot simpler. You were dumber." She knew that Hannibal would know exactly what she was talking about. She'd seduced him just like some of the other rising demons, vampires, and other creatures of the day.
